Lieutenant Jasmine Hill | MEDBOT19-Feb-22 01:09 PM
Jasmine made her way into the physics labs, a place she hasn't been for over a decade. It looked exactly how she remembered it, apart from the upgraded equipment. She smiled and glided her hand over the desk, chuckling softly to herself as she remembered all the shenanigans she pulled in here.
“Well well well. Look who it is.” Spoke Maggie Roode. Entering wearing her glasses and uniform but with a huge smile on her face. The older woman looked slightly more scarred, but she had made it through. “How is it hanging kid?” She said with a smile. “Long time no see.”
Lieutenant Jasmine Hill | MEDBOT19-Feb-22 01:14 PM
She turned around and looked at the woman, raising her eyebrow slightly before realising who it was. "Maggie? Goodness, it's been a lifetime since I last saw you." She laughed softly and walked up to the older woman, extending her arms for a hug.
Maggie smiled as she wrapped the smaller girl in a hug all the same. “It’s very good to see you as well. How have you been since I last saw you?” She said with a laugh. “Good job on the rank by the way.”
Lieutenant Jasmine Hill | MEDBOT19-Feb-22 01:19 PM
"I've been great, thanks! You know, working up the ranks, getting a doctorate. The whole shebang." She laughed softly and let go of the lady. "And thank you, same goes for you by the way. Lieutenant Commander Roode, has a nice ring to it."
“Oh my new rank is very nice. Where have you been assigned since we last saw each other.” She said with a small smile. “How is the elder Hill?”
Lieutenant Jasmine Hill | MEDBOT19-Feb-22 01:58 PM
"I was on the USS Felix first, then the Jupiter. I'm not quite assistant chief yet, but I'll get there eventually." She said with a grin, putting her hands behind her back. "Well, my mother is behind a desk at Starfleet HQ, advising all the admirals and whatnot with their fleet deployments. Quite a time-consuming job."
Lt. Cdr. Maggie Roode | SCIBOT19-Feb-22 02:51 PM
“Well I’m glad your family is doing so well. Please give her my regards when next you see her.” She said with a smile. “I went to the mirror universe for a bit. That was…something. If you want to hear that story.”
Lieutenant Jasmine Hill | MEDBOT19-Feb-22 02:59 PM
"You? The mirror universe? You serious?" She let out a soft chuckle of disbelief before looking at her and crossing her arms, sitting on the desk just like old times. "Well, do tell!"
Lt. Cdr. Maggie Roode | SCIBOT19-Feb-22 08:03 PM
“Ha. It’s nothing much. A ship I was sent on, got pulled into the mirror universe.” She said with a grin. Sitting down across from her. “It ended well enough. No one died, and I think we got out no worse for wear.”
Lieutenant Jasmine Hill | MEDBOT19-Feb-22 08:08 PM
"Met anyone's counterpart whilst you were there? That's the most interesting thing about the place in my opinion." She smiled back at Maggie, leaning back on the desk slightly. Her cybernetic arm was finally visable again. It did look different however. It had a few dashes of paint on it, white paint that is. Just a few details, nothing too significant.
Lt. Cdr. Maggie Roode | SCIBOT19-Feb-22 09:19 PM
Maggie smiled as she looked at her arm. “I met my counterpart. It was…interesting. And you have such a nice looking arm. Why the paint.”
Lieutenant Jasmine Hill | MEDBOT19-Feb-22 09:22 PM
"What can I say? I felt... Adventurous." She laughed softly and rolled up her sleeve, a few white lines going down her arms and to the tips of her fingers. It looked a bit like a computer chip if anything else. "Remember that flower pattern that was originally on it? This is the new that."
Lt. Cdr. Maggie Roode | SCIBOT20-Feb-22 02:12 AM
Maggie gasped out as she looked at it. “Oh it’s so nice. I love the make of it. It still reacts to your emotions?”
Lieutenant Jasmine Hill | MEDBOT20-Feb-22 08:49 AM
She laughed softly seeing the other's reaction. "No. I removed that feature ten years ago. I got older and that lightshow became a bit childish." She chuckled for a moment. "I still have it however. It's on display in my quarters back on the Jupiter."
Lt. Cdr. Maggie Roode | SCIBOT20-Feb-22 11:32 AM
“Shame. I thought it was cute.” She said with a grin. “How is the Jupiter? Everything going good with that posting?”
Lieutenant Jasmine Hill | MEDBOT20-Feb-22 11:55 AM
"Absolutely! I'm having a lot of fun there. It's quite calm there too, just nice patrolling through some nearby sectors." She grinned back at Maggie. "What about your own posting?"
Lt. Cdr. Maggie Roode | SCIBOT20-Feb-22 01:04 PM
“Oh it’s great. It’s very fulfilling work and I tend to really enjoy being there. All in all I’m having a blast. Have any fun stories?” She asked with a smirk.
Lieutenant Jasmine Hill | MEDBOT20-Feb-22 01:42 PM
"Well, not really in all honesty. Most of my postings are just me, in sickbay, doing experiments. The boring stuff. I did, however, pick up free-running. So there's that." She chuckled softly, shaking her head lightly as she spoke.
Lt. Cdr. Maggie Roode | SCIBOT20-Feb-22 02:16 PM
Maggie smiled as she looked at Hill. “Ha! That is the life sometimes isn’t it. I’m usually in an office dealing with my bloody niece who is…. difficult because she was raised by my sister.” Of course Mystic was technically her cousin but they were pretty much raised as siblings.
Lieutenant Jasmine Hill | MEDBOT21-Feb-22 08:33 AM
"Do you even have time to do your duties then? If you're always looking out for a child and such-" She stopped talking and started to laugh a few seconds later. "Don't answer that. You did the same with me after all."
Lt. Cdr. Maggie Roode | SCIBOT21-Feb-22 12:48 PM
Maggie snorted. “And I was only bloody 26 or so when I met you. Little demon that you were.” She said with a laugh. “And she isn’t a child. She’s an officer, and she is…a lot. She’s smart but has interesting ideas.”
Lieutenant Jasmine Hill | MEDBOT21-Feb-22 01:09 PM
"Do tell me about them, Maggie. You can't just say that and leave out all the juicy details!" She laughed softly and looked at her, leaning back against the desk.
Lt. Cdr. Maggie Roode | SCIBOT21-Feb-22 05:27 PM
“My niece, Martha is such a smart young lady but she’s so focused on trying to tap into new universes. I keep trying to caution her that it might not be the best idea. Yet she wants to find the next mirror universe or something.”
Lieutenant Jasmine Hill | MEDBOT21-Feb-22 05:44 PM
"Isn't that just a case of altering the passive frequency of an object or something? I don't know exactly, I'm not a scientist after all." She said with a nervous chuckle.
Lt. Cdr. Maggie Roode | SCIBOT21-Feb-22 09:26 PM
“ Vaguely yes. It’s slightly more complex and takes a lot of work. She keeps trying to cross the borders of reality and I have to keep the captain from murdering her. It’s a hassle…”
Lieutenant Jasmine Hill | MEDBOT21-Feb-22 09:39 PM
"In my not-so-professional opinion, she should do her experiments back on Earth under proper supervision." She said with a laugh, shaking her head lightly.
Lt. Cdr. Maggie Roode | SCIBOT22-Feb-22 12:08 AM
“That’s what I’ve been telling her…” She said with a sigh. “Anyone like that for you?”
Lieutenant Jasmine Hill | MEDBOT22-Feb-22 07:57 AM
"Well, I have my little brother, though he's on a different ship. I'm just giving him advise every so often. Mainly because mom and dad are both super busy all of the time, so that leaves me to answer all of his questions." She said with a slight chuckle.
Lt. Cdr. Maggie Roode | SCIBOT22-Feb-22 01:01 PM
“Oh I’m glad you and your brother still talk.” She said with a small smile. “My siblings are very close still as well. It’s lovely.”
Lieutenant Jasmine Hill | MEDBOT22-Feb-22 01:02 PM
"I'm so glad to hear that!" She said with a warm smile before making a confused face and shaking her head for a moment. "Wait- Roll back. You have siblings? You never told me that!"(edited)
Lt. Cdr. Maggie Roode | SCIBOT22-Feb-22 05:19 PM
“Oh they’re not my siblings per say. Just my cousins who I was raised with. So they might as well be my siblings.” She said with a laugh.
Lieutenant Jasmine Hill | MEDBOT22-Feb-22 05:48 PM
"Wow! And here I thought you had a pair of secret siblings that I didn't know of for the past 15 years!" She laughed alongside Maggie for a few moments. "But it's good to hear you're getting along with them."
Lt. Cdr. Maggie Roode | SCIBOT23-Feb-22 01:09 AM
Maggie nodded as she looked at the woman across from her. “Well, I’ve always gotten along with them.” She sighed. “Well, shall we spilt apart for now? I’ll be sure to chat later on?”
Lieutenant Jasmine Hill | MEDBOT23-Feb-22 10:03 AM
"Absolutely! It was lovely speaking with you again, Maggie." She said with a grin, opening her arms for a hug if Maggie wanted one.
Lt. Cdr. Maggie Roode | SCIBOT23-Feb-22 10:59 AM
Maggie smiled as she hugged the smaller girl. “It was great to see you again as well.”
Lieutenant Jasmine Hill | MEDBOT23-Feb-22 11:09 AM
She let go of Maggie with a bright smile on her face. "I'll see you around." And with that she walked to the exit if the labs. "Oh! And be sure to keep in touch! I'd love to meet you again some day in the future."
Lt. Cdr. Maggie Roode | SCIBOT23-Feb-22 12:42 PM
Maggie nodded as she left the room at the same time. “Of course Jasmine. I will make sure to keep in touch with you and your family.”
