Back in his old stamping ground. Somehow that felt weird to him, the wave of nostalgia that hit as he and his daughter emerged from the turbolift and began making his way to the old chief of tactical's office. Hopefully the officer assigned to the post hadn't done too badly at keeping it intact.

Not too long after Ughaz'udan and his daughter made their way to the office, the turbolift carrying Kassell halted and hissed open the doors. He stepped out, glancing both ways as the same wave of nostalgia hit him. It was weird to think that the twenty-seven year old that walked down these corridors was now forty-two. Arrek slightly shook his head and gaited on down the pathway.

Ughaz'udan knew those footfalls anywhere - as did Sharra, apparently, who immediately broke away from her father and tackled the Cardassian with her buried in his neck scales and crushing the wind from his lungs in a hug. Why? Well, of course she does. "Kassell. So the captain invited you, too." The Jem'hadar made a short bark of laughter. "Perhaps Sharra should be my radar. She always seems to know when someone she knows is around."

Kassell continued down the corridor until laying eyes upon a Jem'Hadar and a teenager. Sharra and Ughaz'udan; it was good to see them again. His eyes widened as Sharra tackled him, wrapping his arms around her in response to her great big hug. He did stumble back for a moment, but kept his balance. "Good to see you too, Sharra." he said, light laughter escaping his mouth. "Yes, I was." he replied. "Perhaps she should." he said. After a few seconds of hugging, Arrek let go of Ughaz'udan's daughter and stepped forward. He extended his hand to the Jem'Hadar. "It's good to see you again, Ughaz'udan." he said with a smile.

The hand was firmly shaken. The two had become friends over the years they'd known each other - close enough to let Sharra stay with Kassell if Ughaz'udan needed to be in the area. Never mind if it'd only been once. The fact that it'd happened at all was proof enough of the trust between them. "It is good to see you as well, Kassell. I trust the Avenal made it here safely."

"Yes, it did. I have a fine crew--and a lovely wife." he said with an even bigger smile. He then glanced back at Sharra. "And how has Sharra here been doing? I hope you won't challenge one of my crewman to a brawl again... for the one hundredth time." he said in a teasing manner.

"But Glinn Karth promised me a match the next time we meet." The young lady pouted a little while her father looked on with a hint of amusement. "She is well as you can see. Virana takes excellent care of her."

Kassell smirked, taking a breath before speaking. "Just try not to break any bones." he said, looking back at Ughaz'udan. "Now, tell me, were you on your way to the tactical office? Because I was going to do the same thing." he said. All the memories started to flood back into his mind. And he wasn't in the office yet.

"Sharra wanted to see it. So of course I'd take her." He responded. "I hope the officer which has been filling my shoes isn't in there at the moment."

"Well, let's find out." he said, motioning his hand towards the door. Time to enter the land of nostalgia. Whenever Sharra and Ughaz'udan started walking, Kassell followed.

Time to go indeed. He began to walk ahead with his daughter, who murmured "Dad chased me off the bridge today..." in Kassell's ear before following her father.

Kassell understood why a teenager shouldn't be on the bridge. It was no place for children. He certainly wouldn't let his children on the bridge of the Avenal. "You shouldn't be on the bridge in the first place." he murmured back.
