A decision. That could be rather troublesome. T'lai always did like to balance their options before they chose a final outcome. Watching and waiting, always keeping their cards close to their chest. That was how they had survived so long. That was how they had escaped death, even if the joint between their artificial arm and their shoulder ached at the thought. This, sadly, could sometimes spiral into something dangerous -- inaction, something that they needed to watch, something that they needed to train themself away from. Sometimes waiting for the right moment means missing any moment at all. But this was not a time for them to be philosophizing about their own survival abilities, this was a time for them to go to a restaurant and acquire some food before going back to their room. Passively, they wondered whether any members of other factions would grace this area of the station with their presence.

The trill walked past, her earlier conversation with Alizati still in her head, echoing. Did she want to defect? Surely not right? She had everything! A good position within only a few years, the necessary skills to keep herself safe, and the controlled paranoia that always seemed to be right. Could it be right now? Those thoughts still lingered as she entered the restaurant, looking for something to eat.

T'lai had noticed someone enter the restaurant block, and they looked... more than a little wary about it. After all. They were wary of just about everyone. Maybe they were paranoid, but maybe they were just trying to survive in a world where survival laid on the edge of a knife. They decided to take a chance and reach out, for better or for worse. At the very least, they would get a better idea of what they might just be up against. "I recommend the salads" They approached the newcomer with a smooth gait, hiding uncertainty in false confidence.
