Star Trek: Starbase 777 - status-updates

@Event Ping Greetings everyone, and welcome to The Blackout event! Normally if events take place on 777 we do them in regular RP channels. For this event I'm trying something different and using temporary channels just for the event - this way, you'll be able to reply to your normal scenes at the same time! It's just after 0400 hours in-character. Choose any of the starting channels to place your character in, and after a little while, we'll get things underway. (Obviously not everyone shares the same quarters so just post as though you're in your own, and then that channel will double as corridors too to save space). By now you'll have noticed that things are going not so great throughout the station. But wait, there's more! Is your character an android? Do they have any form of implants or prosthetics? If so, read on! If your character is an Android then it's night night time. They have just been completely shut down into whatever form of power-off they have. If your character has any form of cybernetics, implants, or prosthetics, what happens to them depends on what their cybernetics are for. If they have a prosthetic arm they can't use it, if they have implanted hearing aids then they can't hear, and so on. If they have any form of completely cybernetic organs... Well, good luck!

You can roleplay out whatever's happened to your character in whatever starting channel that you've chosen. If you have any questions then just ask in #rp-discussion!

Hey folks, that’s going to be me heading off for the night just now! In the meantime your characters can keep going to their work station – have fun climbing in the Jefferies tubes! Anyone who’s injured/unwell in any way can go to the medical bay instead of reporting for work, or if they cant go through the tubes then they can go to triage in the mess hall. (Some random NPC will be go around advising that it’s being set up, so you’ll know it exists). There’ll be no GMing until tomorrow, so for now you can make your way to your places and have characters meet up and discuss next steps. We’ll pick up again properly tomorrow! (Oh, also, remember that you can reply to your normal scenes in the meantime too!

Hey @Event Ping, it's time to get to work! I've used the Narrator to move things on, so your next roleplay post should be you reaching your designated workplace (unless you're working in the mess hall or trapped in the turbolift, like me.) Hey folks, here's an update for tonight! GMing is going to be stopping shortly after a final quick bit in the #science-labs. You can keep roleplaying wherever your character is though: have them chat amongst themselves and come up with next steps. *And we will finish it up tomorrow without going into Monday. I have a very important presentation due on Tuesday and I haven't started it yet because I've been doing the event, so I need at least a day to get it done hyperlaugh

@Event Ping Everything is back online! Lights, consoles (although the backup LCARS is still running,) turbolifts, universal translator, replicators, PADDs, everything! Any implants and prosthetics are fine, all of the Liberated Borg's nanoprobes are functioning again, and any androids can wake up from their abrupt nap!

Hey everyone! That's the event almost over with the exception of LCARS still having to be fixed. I'll keep the channels open until 20-May-24 01:30 AM so people can roleplay in the aftermath. After that, the channels will be locked and you'll have to go back to normal scenes (any new ones will be set after the event). Thank you all so much for taking part! I hope you all had a good time! And of course, thank you very much to the GMs for making all of this possible

@Event Ping Hey all, the event channels have now been locked. They'll remain visible for now until they're archived. For any RP you'll have to continue your existing scenes or start new ones - let's say that new ones have to be set at least 12 hours after the event so it's when all the chaos has settled down!
