The Thirty year old romulan entered the eventide sickbay and placed her backpack on the counter, she began taking various sterile equipment out of her backpack and she placed them on a sterile field ready for whatever was thrown her way.

Bishop stepped off the turbolift with hands on hips, dressed in full uniform - a rarity for her, but she'd thought it appropriate for a mission away from home. With a quick glance around the room, she made her way over to the nearest biobed, not too far from the other officer occupying the room. "Everything hangin' okay?" she asked, dispensing a PADD from it's holder in the wall with a 'clack', quickly swiping her fingers over the device to get up to date on recent status reports.

"Everything is fine." She replied as she washed her hands and she quickly dried and sanitized them and she looked over the status reports on her padd as she waited for the sanitiser to dry.

"Well, good," Victoria turned her head to glance over at the response, supposing her companion wasn't one for much conversation, which was fine. She nodded in understanding. "Victoria Bishop, by the way, but hopefully you won't have to call me today," she offered with a wry chuckle.

"My apologies for the rudeness I am just a bit nervous this is my mission on the eventide." She explained before extending her hand. "Areinnye s'Aeorhinn its a pleasure to meet you."

Hello, sickbay, would you like a corpse? No? Too bad. A human woman was deposited onto a biobed. Her clothes were filthy and torn, blood actively spilling from a wound in her abdomen. There were bruises around her throat.

"Transport completed." The Liberated Borg observed as they stepped toward the bio bed, a medical tricorder in one hand as she approached. She then noticed the active bleed and holstered the tricorder before she acquired a medical kit. Once next to the bed she proceeded to say. "We require assistance dealing with the body." As she worked to stop the active bleed. They needed more hands, just two hands in times like this seemed very inefficient design wise.

"Oh yeah, definitely," Victoria nodded after a single look at the corpse that had been bestowed upon them, having her time with her PADD cut short with the arrival of the deceased. She'd set it aside for now and slipped on the pair of gloves she'd prepared to keep handy, already arriving at the opposite side of the bed. "Looks like strangulation, recent, bit of a struggle, too," she remarked with a slight shake of her head, presuming Twelve had already come to that conclusion on her own. Seeing that the Commander had the bleeding handled, more or less, she waved her tricorder over the body's torso, intending to confirm as much with a scan of their organs.

Dead as a doornail, and the cause of death was definitely strangulation. Almost like bleeding out wasn't going fast enough. Could start looking for an identity, potentially...

"Is there any residual brain activity?" The Liberated Borg inquired then, too busy with the bleed to see the scan result before she added. "Also, given what we are seeing, we concur with the cause of death assessment you've made." She took a bit more time to ensure the bleed had been stopped and dealt with, treated appropriately and according to Starfleet procedure. "Given the time frame, we need to be sure individual." She caught herself before she said 'this female member of Species 5618' "..is too far gone to be revived before we proceed." Once she'd done that to her satisfaction the El-Aurian glanced briefly to the Lieutenant. "Given the struggle, we should confirm her identity and then identify and record defensive wounds.." The Liberated Borg considered things for a moment more. "We should probably also check for residual DNA and call for security, in a scuffle the assailant may have been scratched or hit." (edited)

"Nope, aaaand ditto," Victoria responded, flicking her tricorder closed, "I think Security were the ones who sent her up, actually. Hoping we don't see any more." She stated, recalling the voice of Commander Maxson - he was Security, wasn't he? As her eyes scanned the woman's clothing for any signs that would point to some form of identity - or even what she was doing on the surface down below - she'd retrieve a swab from a nearby tray and grab the woman's arm. With a careful lift, she checked visually for any other bruises that she might've missed previously, then ran the swab under each of the body's fingernails.

No sign of an ID on her, but her clothes were.. definitely long out of fashion. As for bruises. Well. The poor woman was practically covered in old scars and bruises, bones that had been broken and mended, over and over and over.

"Correction, we probably shouldn't call security, just flag this death as suspicious, concurring with the away team report's I suspect. " She proceeded to say then as she reached back to and retrieved a PADD before she rapidly tapped out a brief initial suspicious death flag and called up what she needed to check the woman's DNA. Once she'd done that, she snapped out her tricorder and scanned the woman again. She wanted to try and see if there was anything in the woman such as old implants or anything at all that might have provided a line on getting her identity. She also wanted to get a DNA sample from the woman, which she also moved to do. "Significant evidence of previous trauma, broken bones and scarification from other injuries, naturally healed."

"Ah... I'm sure they'll get around to sending someone when they need our results, Commander," Victoria shrugged her shoulders a little, bringing the swab up to her eyes to confirm that there had been, in fact, residue collected - though whether from a recent struggle or a result of something that had happened to her further back in time, she supposed she couldn't tell. "She's been through a lot, yeah," Bishop concurred, passing her swabs across the biobed to Twelve in order to have those checked separately, seeing the latter had already come with the equipment. "These are for, well, hopefully, it'll give us whoever - or whatever - she's been struggling with."

Oh no. Not naturally. Not naturally at all. Artificially, in fact. There was proof shown that the bones had been mended by hand, like technology Starfleet itself had. Her name was Alliyah Monroe. Born March 26th, 2247. She didn't look a day over fifty.

"..Correction, this person has been treated using technology similar to Starflee-." Her observation was snapped off unfinished as she checked her results again. "..This individuals designation was Alliya Monroe, Born according to this March 27th, 2247." The El-Aurian then observed after a moment. "We have double checked this result and it hasn't changed." After a moment she then moved to check the swab's for any DNA captured by the swab from Alliyah's attacker. (edited)

No DNA. None at all. In fact, the bruises didn't even look like fingers— more like...wires...

"No DNA detected, Swab came back negative." She then checked the data they'd gotten, looked back over the wounds and the bruises. "Lieutenant, the bruises on the neck." The El-Aurian then said after a moment as she indicated the bruises. "Wires?" She queried. "Strangulation through the use of wires or a wire potentially?"

Jena stepped out of the turbolift and made her way to sickbay. Out of everything, she was just curious on how things were and just wanted to check in. "G'day. Just wanted to check in on ya'll. Everything alright?"

"One transported aboard, dead on arrival, unrevivable." The El-Aurian responded then as she reported on what had occurred to the other Lieutenant Commander. "Female, Species Human, designation Alliyah Monroe, born 27th March 2247." They'd paused then. "Cause of death, murder." After a pause as they twigged to the fact she'd asked them both if they were okay, Twelve then sheepishly added. "We are functioning at full capacity, we were preparing to attempt to investigate further." She then tapped her combadge. "Twelve of Twenty to the bridge, we've had one body beamed up by the away team, dead on arrival, Cause of death is confirmed to be murder." She reported then before she added. "They were human...and were born in 2247, signs of significant previous healed trauma." She'd then waited for a response to her message. As she waited, she had continued to work. All the evidence collected needed to be documented and the body secured once the process of evidence gathering was concluded. That and anything that needed to be cleaned up needed to well, be cleaned up. Stuff to do, lots of stuff to do. So the Liberated Borg continued to work as they worked their way down said list.
