Ah, so Sadhbh was going for it now. He was about to mention something about them having enough reasonable suspicion that their questioning was justified - 'reasonable suspicion' was another real legal term, the one that usually came before 'probable cause'. It wasn't enough to arrest someone, but it was to investigate someone. This was getting a little bit too far into security terminology and he was hardly a lawyer, so he might have gotten a detail wrong, and he wasn't even sure if investigation stretched to being allowed to stay where you were being told to fuck off, but he would have been banking on these guys being imposters who would assume he knew more about Starfleet law than they did.
Then Copia said a lot of things that threw all that out the window. The situation had escalated to a point where yes, he did fear Tewari, actually! Well, not fear - by choice, he didn't often feel that emotion. But he had a basic sense of self-preservation, and would have suggested they all just leave and report all this to the higher-ups, but before he could even think about saying it -
'That escalated quickly' wasn't enough to describe what just happened.
"Bloody hell. Go do your magic, my love!" With that, he took out his phaser, fired at GG, who was blocking the door, trying to stop Allan from getting out - but he didn't go down. Luckily, it was enough of a distraction that Allan and Gregor could slip out. (edited)
