The USS Fort Lauderdale was in red alert, and the engineering bay was bathed in bright red light as harried engineers ran back and forth through the machinery.

Immediately after his atoms re-materialized, he looked around, tying his hair up with a hairtie that seemed to come out of nowhere. Time to lock in.

"Time to lock in, boys." Maya said as she materialized to the Lauderdale... WOW A HEREMES CLASS! So cool! She must not let anyone see her excitement on being in Starfleets few single-nacelle ships. It would break the professional mood. Anyways, she quickly sprinted to action as she headed to a main console to assist the engineers here

The Betazoid from earlier, Lauderdale’s ACTO, looked up from her console at the arrival of the engineers with surprise, “…welcome aboard!” She said, bewildered, before gesturing to her console, “What’s the plan?”

The Klingon warrior reformed and instantly was bathed in red. He gave a deep sigh and looked around, trying to understand the problem at hand.

"Main thing at the moment is to help stabilize the shield merge from Lauderdale's end. If all goes well, then we should be able to better get a tractor beam onto slow down the station's descent. We have to be in lockstep with Eventide." Maya answered as she began typing in to the console. "The second main thing is that we're here to help keep the ship afloat and buy us as much time as possible."

“Heard. I need two extra hands at the tractor beam, then. Commander, stick with me,” The engineers were locked in!

“Alright, shit’s going sideways.” He muttered, turning to Umali, “Where do you want me, boss?”

"I can work on the tractor beam," said the Klingon with a nod. He moved to where he was needed without a second word or question needed to be asked.

"Right. Castelo, Morof. Stay in tractor beam controls and coordinate with Commander Lawson in Eventide. I'll stick to the ACTO and see where else needs fixing." Maya calmly instructed as she fixed her gloves and followed the Lauderdale's ACTO

“Sir, yes, sir!” He nodded, striding over to the controls beside Morof and placing his hand in position to get to work.

A few of Lauderdale’s engineers were quick to lend helping hands to their helping hands. It was all hands on deck!

"We should turn axillary power to the tractor beams to help stabilize the station," said the Klingon. However, he knew there was little axillary power due to so much power already being used to other systems. "I suggest we shut down power, life support, and other systems on all unneeded floors. All personnel not at battlestations and posts should be moved to messhall and levels that are needed for this operation."

The ACTO whirled back and forth between her main console and the tractor beam, “We are not shutting life support down. I can stand to lose power and weapons, but life support stays up. We work with what we’ve got.”

Maya meanwhile kept a close eye on the Fort Lauderdale's shields, temperature, and tractor beam stability as all of this was going on with how delicate and sensitive everything they were doing was. Occasionally, Maya would dart off and help the other engineers fix things to help better their situation a little bit

"Clearing unneeded levels of personnel and shutting those down would greatly increase the tractor beam's effectiveness," explained the Klingon. He continued to type away, doing what he could to keep the tractor beam holding.

Lauderdale was shaking as it and Eventide held up the weight of Tycho Brahe Station. It was a tug-of-war with a star, and they couldn’t risk losing.

He grumbled, seeing his idea was not taken. He continued to work. He watched the power flow of the tractor beam and thrusters of the ship. At this rate, the ships could get ripped in half.

Morof continued to work, the silence unnerving to the warrior. The whole room was focused on getting everything to stay working.

Speak of the devil. Alarms began to blare throughout engineering. The shields were beginning to fail!

He cursed in Klingon, but was unable to do anything as his post was here at the tractor beam.

Thanks to the Heliosphere’s shield bubble, the alarms were quickly silenced!

He sighed and figured he could relax again. The Heliosphere was here and was taking over. So, the warrior stepped away and looked around.
