The science labs was the first area of the station that had life signs. Destroyed scientific equipment and broken glass littered the labs and the corridor connecting them, making it a rather dangerous area to navigate.

Breaking into a laboratory— oh, she knew this one!

Lt. JG. Dakkil Kich | OPS BOT 14-Mar-26 06:06 PM
"Hello? We're the rescue team from the Eventide! Anyone in here?" Dakkil called, walking carefully through the broken lab equipment, scanning the room for signs of life.

Ens. Salris | OPS BOT 14-Mar-26 06:13 PM
She stayed silent, looking around the room for smaller areas and mini-halls where someone might go to find safety in a shaking station with everything flying all over the place.

Three life signs from various points in the labs — two of them were deeper in, and one was closer, accompanied by some shaky breathing and the occasional grumble of pain.
Avatar
Lt. JG. Dakkil Kich | OPS BOT 14-Mar-26 06:14 PM
Dakkil made his way to the closest life sign, picking through the rubble as he got closer and closer to the point on his tricorder. "Hang on, we'll get you guys outta here..." he assured them. He really hoped that wasn't an empty promise.

Sal had peeked at her Lieutenant's map of the laboratory, separating from the group to look for people indicated further away, in the closed-off rooms.

A Cardassian science lieutenant was on the ground, broken glass scattered around them with some small shallow cuts and bruises scattered along their body. They were sweating, both hands on the ground behind them to keep themself stabilized. They hadn't noticed the team just yet.

Ens. Klaa N’garen | ENG BOT 15-Mar-26 04:00 PM
Klaa noticed movement. Upon closer inspection she found the officer lying on the ground. “Hey! Guys, over here!” She beckons the rescue team. Kicking away some of the glass shards. she knelt down in the area next to the of she had just cleared. “I’m Ensign Klaa, can you move at all?” She asked the Lt.

Lt. JG. Dakkil Kich | OPS BOT 15-Mar-26 04:02 PM
Dakkil followed the direction of the engineering ensign, running forward, or, as best he could around all the broken equipment in the room. "I think we need a doctor in here," Dakkil pointed out. "Does anyone in here have medical training?" he looked around at the other officers in the room.

Lt. JG. Marze G’khar | SEC BOT 15-Mar-26 04:16 PM
Marze moved quick coming right after them. “Basic Life Support and Primary assessment people! We all saw that in the academy.” She referred to checking pulse and breathing and then proceeding to the basic ABCDE. Checking what they could with who was conscious and assessing briefly who wasn’t and couldn’t be woken up. “Check if they are responsive and if they can move by themselves or if its safe to move them. It will be better to take them back to the others if possible on the docking bay than having our doctors spread thin. I heard they have other urgencies with the people back there.” Like someone in active labour. Talk about a complicated birth. She looked around. They had found the Cardassian, but there was signs of two more officers on this room. Was it possible to advance towards those signs?
Avatar
Narrator BOT 15-Mar-26 04:19 PM
"Wuh..." The Cardassian blinked, raising their head to the team as they moved towards them. They were conscious, at least. "I can— I just need some help standing up, I think t.. the heat's getting to me.." "Hey— over here!!" a voice called out, one of the two signs further away, sounding strained. "Fuck— just hang on, okay?.."
Avatar
Lt. JG. Marze G’khar | SEC BOT 15-Mar-26 04:23 PM
She went further to the back of the room. Was the way to those people blocked? Did she have any visual now that she was closer? “Hey!” She moved as quick as possible. “What is your status? We’re Starfleet, we came to get you out of here!”

Ens. Kairos Rex | INT BOT 15-Mar-26 04:24 PM
Peekaboo. As soon as the Intel officer arrived to the station, he locked onto the task like a hound that caught the smell of blood. Seeing as the other officers were attending the wounded Cardassian, the quasi-android ventured deeper, attracted to the sound of the voice. Was there a way to reach them?

Lt. JG. Dakkil Kich | OPS BOT 15-Mar-26 04:25 PM
Dakkil followed Kairos, hoping to help if there was anything that needed moving or anything else that might fall under the requirements of its job.

Pressed up against a machine, trying their best to lift it, was a taller human woman— dark red braids, her expression pinched, sweat pouring down her face. There was someone with their legs trapped underneath, currently unconscious. "Don't worry about me—" she spat in reply, fingers scrabbling to keep their hold— "just help me get this off of her!!"
Avatar
Lt. JG. Dakkil Kich | OPS BOT 15-Mar-26 04:27 PM
Dakkil sprung into action, joining the redhead to help lift the machine off the poor person trapped underneath.

Ens. Kairos Rex | INT BOT 15-Mar-26 04:29 PM
With a noise that sounded suspiciously close to an Earth tiger's chuff, he went underneath the machine as well, pressing his back into it and beginning to straighten out his legs, acting as a sort of lever, if one was spotted and spiky.

Ens. Klaa N’garen | ENG BOT 15-Mar-26 04:29 PM
“Here grab ahold of me.” She offered the cardassian. “we should get you to the docking bay.” Her stout stature was useful in keeping them steady as she helped them up.

Lt. JG. Dakkil Kich | OPS BOT 15-Mar-26 04:31 PM
Once Kairos and the woman began making progress lifting the machine, Dakkil made sure that it wouldn't drop immediately once it let go before ducking out to pull the other woman out from underneath.

"Yeah, thanks," they mumbled, using Klaa as support as they moved to their feet. "Come on— yes..!!" As soon as the other officer was safely out, the first immediately dropped down to her knees beside her. "Come on, you're okay now, just..." A relieved sigh. "She's breathing. I don't know if she can walk, and I'm in no shape to carry her.."
Avatar
Lt. JG. Dakkil Kich | OPS BOT 15-Mar-26 04:34 PM
"I've got her," Dakkil offered. He was 6'0 and definitely strong enough to carry someone, plus he had the added benefit of the adrenaline rushing through his body. Careful of her injury, Dakkil lifted the other woman into his arms. "We should probably get her back to the shuttles, right?"
Avatar
Ens. Kairos Rex | INT BOT 15-Mar-26 04:35 PM
As that was being taken care of, Kairos took a good look and listen around. Was anyone else left unnacounted for as of yet?..

Searching the area... there was another pair of feet behind a table, twitching and shuddering, until the ground was swept up from under them and someone was revealed! He was on the smaller side, his head jerking in odd motions, eyes flickering.. "NOW the gravity turns off!?" the human woman shouted, frustrated as sh scrambled to grab hold of something. "Fucking fantastic!"

Lt. JG. Dakkil Kich | OPS BOT 15-Mar-26 04:42 PM
Annndd he's floating. Okay. That makes carrying a whole-ass person easier, at least?

Further down the corridor, as the artificial gravity flickered and was shut down, a cacophonous sound echoed from the #tb-recreation-area (edited)

Dakkil decided to take the woman he was carrying and move towards the docking bay to get her into the shuttle; hopefully the artificial gravity still worked there.

”What the hell!” She quickly worked towards grabbing something close to her and stable to she would not float away. She looked towards the sound. “We should check that! Can the three of you move to the docking bay area?” She asked the people being rescued.

Lt. Cdr. Aoife O'Rielly | INT BOT 15-Mar-26 04:48 PM
Aoife who joined the rescue group late after coordinating with the group from the Fort Lauderdale cursed as she felt herself become weightless. As she fought off a sudden bout of nausea from her lunch becoming unseated she found a wall to bounce off towards the rest of the group. "If any of you haven't been in zero g before. Make sure to always have an object in reaching distance. If you run out of momentum with nothing in reach you'll be stuck there. And try not to vomit."

Oh! Welp. Might as well fly for a bit. His hands grabbed onto the machine he was moving just mere moments ago, and Kairos used it to essentially propel himself towards the twitching body, his sleek tail curled around his left leg as to not accidentally hit someone. "Sir, can you hear me?" he doubted he'll get a proper answer, but he had to try. Kairos suspected that it was a fellow android, hence the lack of a life sign...

Ens. C’Tessa | INT BOT 15-Mar-26 04:50 PM
Well.. it seemed that both of the spotted Intel ensigns were in attendance. C’Tessa followed behind Kairos, looking around as well. It felt better doing all this stuff with her fellow Intel people. Until.. WHAT! There wasn’t gravity anymore! Now C’Tessa was in the air, doing some honestly impressive midair frantic acrobatics until she found something to grab. “Understood!” She said to Aoife, before she went about propelling herself into the recreation area.

Ens. Klaa N’garen | ENG BOT 15-Mar-26 04:52 PM
“tojo'Qa'!!” She cried in frustration. Grabbing ahold of the cardassian. Desperately searching for something to propel herself off of. “I should probably go see if I can fix this.”

"Aff-f-firmative," the man replied, voice box glitching, scarlet eyes fixing on Kairos as he reached for the Intelligence officer. "Heat is reaching... critical levels. Shutdown is im-m-mminent."

Ens. Kairos Rex | INT BOT 15-Mar-26 04:59 PM
He accepted the reached out limb, curling his fingers around the officer's elbow as he got pulled closer to the Trill. "Try to hold onto me while you still can, yeah? I'm gonna get you somewhere where an engineer or two can take a look at you." He looked around. Could he float his way towards the exit, back to the docking bay?

Finally finding her footing she launched herself and the cardassian towards the docking bay.
Avatar
Ens. Kairos Rex | INT BOT 15-Mar-26 05:06 PM
Wahoo! Using the lack of gravity for his own advantage, Kairos began to move towards the exit. One of his hands was wrapped around the overheating android, pressing him closer to his torso as a way to keep the poor sod from floating up to the ceiling. "I'm gonna get him to one of the shuttles, where he won't float away into the sun and some engineers can work on him," he jerked his head downwards at the android, who's own head was securely pressed against the Intel officer's chest. "I will rejoin you guys soon after!" With that, Kairos would make his way towards the #tb-docking-bay...

Seeing as the others seemed to handle those 3 officers, Marze decided to continue towards the #tb-recreation-area using the momentum from objects and walls to propel herself around.

The home stretch now. Dakkil made his way to the entrance of the science lab, navigating slowly through the broken glass and other sharp items that likely filled the air. It was slow going, but finally, it reached #tb-docking-bay!
