Before the silence became awkward, though... he did incline his head: "Occurrences like this, of such catastrophic magnitude, are exceedingly rare. That's why we need to figure out what happened here. And a place like this, or what was here before it became overrun with gore... of course it would be studied. If it was indeed this mass they were after, for example, I could imagine multitudes of hopes and dreams they had here. Especially way back then, when some of the medical and engineering wonders available to us now just didn't exist."
