Eshen exited the turbolift, phaser raised, keeping an eye and ear out for signs of any sec 31 agents or captives. (edited)

C'Telle's ears swiveled, listening for sounds. He held his phaser up and swept the area with his gaze.

They exited the turbolift, looking around.

Sticking close to the group, his antennae would swivel about. He looks around carefully...

The turbolift exited out into a small room. It seemed as though it had a similar sort of set-up to the one downstairs in that it was an area for organising and moving equipment -- that made the side of the turbolift make sense, considering how it had comfortably fit eight people without them having to play sardines. It was designed for cargo. There was no one else in the room at present (another dull place with the same dull lighting and the same equally dull gunmetal grey walls), and an archway into the next area was situated towards the top.

Sam was also still definitely here, hunched down slightly as she walked towards the wall and peeked the corner to see what was beyond.

“I think it’s clear.” She muttered, rifle still trained and focused.

He was close behind, staying close to the group meanwhile straining to hear anything suspicious.

Eshen followed Sam's example, sticking to corners and peeking around them.

[COMMS] "Jericho, do you know if there are any agents ahead of us?"

[Comms] The comms link was sporadic, only certain words being audible now. "There [...] at least [...] no sign of [...] beyond [...]-" At the end, the line turned into static.

Hearing the static, Voris immediately frowned. Well shit, he thought. They're on their own now? Though at least he has the team. Right?

"Tricorder." She said quietly before looking around the corner again, aiming her rifle into the seemingly empty room.

The romulan handed the Lieutenant a tricorder, before shifting back to focus on any incoming threats.

She opened it and scanned room for lifesigns and odd structures. Maybe even hidden wall panels if they exsisted. She knew all too well some facilities had pop-up turrets in the walls, and she didn't want one of those in her face.

The tricorder could only scan so far but it didn't seem to detect any form of odd structures that could house turrets or further sentries such as the one that had been experienced downstairs. The main thing it picked up was a handful of different chemicals and materials in cases and containers upon the shelves, plus the icy-cold temperature coming from some of the cargo crates. It seemed they were stasis boxes set to idle; designed to preserve their ability to freeze immediately by staying cold, but not dipping to temperatures that would induce stasis. Even Section 31 knew how to preserve power when something wasn't in use.

He felt refreshed at cold air coming from certain crates. It reminded him of Cait. Kind of a weird time to reminisce, but whatever. "I wonder what these are used for."

Oh, great, Vince storage boxes. "Storing people. Well, our eye in the sky is gone, unless one of the engineers can fix it somehow."

“I’ll try my best, but I’m no engineer.” She muttered, shortly rummaging in her toolkit shortly there after.

“Storing what now?” They asked.

Allan started trying to jerryrig some sort of signal booster with the items in the engineer's kit, looking over at Am'el. "I am. Here, see if this will work," he handed her some of the parts he'd jammed together. "See if you can ping Jericho again with this."

Uh oh. Being a hybrid may seem cool to others but... this was one of those times it was absolute hell for Voris. The two halves made him have low tolerance for high temperatures and freezing cold temperatures. He felt his joints feel tight from the cold temperature from the room. Ouch. It made his bones feel all achey.

C’Sara felt alive in the cold. Their fur was a great defense from it.

Eshen could deal with cold temperatures to an extent, since he grew up in England where things got near zero occasionally, so he was fine for now. "If that fixes comms, I'll ask Jericho my question again." He suddenly realised he'd been calling him Jericho instead of Giles or by his rank the whole time. Whoops. Well, maybe if they had time he could ask if he was okay with that, too.

He crouched besides one of the boxes. "Wonder if there's anything in them right now..."

The static through the comms link continued, crackling into everyone's individual headsets. It seemed that it wasn't a signal issue down here: the problem lay with the Eventide. The cold wasn't too bad in here, but through in the foyer, you could see icy mist rolling out from some of the boxes.

"Frosty. Alright, that didn't work, so let's continue on for now." He looked over to Sam for approval. (edited)

She attempted to boost the signal, but it was clear the issue was aboard the ship. “…Something is not right.”

He peered more into the room with the chemicals. As much it made him curious, he immediately started to winced with a grimace on his face. It was clear he was starting to feel uncomfortable. Voris shifts through his medical kit to see if there was a hypospray that could help him temporarily.

...And presumably he got it and they went on ahead.

That he did, seeing she gave him a nod and slowly started to move into the room ahead, staying low and swift.

After finding the hypospray, he pressed it onto his neck before going to the foyer.

Unsettled by the situation, C'Telle's fur fluffed up against the chilly air and he stared icily (no joke intended) at the boxes, suspicious of them and keeping his phaser up. He followed.

Keeping close to the good doctor, Saren followed suit.

She ran back and took cover behind the wall yet again, pressing her back against the wall with a rather annoyed look on her face as she looked at the Tricorder. They wouldn't exactly come far if the entire area was trapped after all, so she scanned the floor this time for any other surprises.

C'Telle rushed in as well, pressing himself flat against the wall. "I don't want to know what that is, but I don't think we'll have a choice."

Eshen came in too, taking cover, and he'd also dragged Allan with him by the hand.

Hearing the thud of Am'el hitting the ground, he turned. "Shit, we're missing someone."

Nearly slamming his face into the turbolift's walls, the doctor tensed up suddenly. Though he quickly relaxed. Unfortunately he tensed up again after peering out of the turbolift. "Shit" He hissed in a quiet voice. "A trap got the Ensign."

"Voris, we're going to need to get Am'el back here. But we don't want to spring anymore traps. Ideas, everyone?" She said quietly as she looked at her team, putting the rifle on her back as she kept checking the scans.

"Someone strong enough to carry her and Voris should go back. She might need medical attention, or to be moved."

He gave the exit a hard stare, weighing his options. "I agree. We should follow pur exact steps only out to where she is and then come back and have the doctor look at her."

The tricorder scans, even from here, could indicate that Am'el was now agonal breathing.

He managed a swift escape, but as soon as he heard the thud... he almost rushed back in. "I can go, as a carry," he offered, rushed. "We leave no one behind."

“Yeah. No one gets left behind, not on this team.” They said.

"Great, but I don't need you running in and get yourself knocked out as well." She said as she looked at Saren. "We need to divert the energy from the trap, so look for a maintenance panel and see if we can deactivate it."

"Erm. Alright. Though I'm concerned the electricity trap might try to shoot us." Voris said flatly as he prepared to get the appropriate equipment. "Ahhhh..."

"Hopefully it's just a scare tactic and will only work once. Tread carefully, though."

If it was a scare tactic then it should definitely have worked. Am'el was agonal breathing. She was going to die if something wasn't done.

"The trap isn't really the problem for now - she's suffocating. Saren can step only where we stepped before, where we know is safe, and get her out of there, while someone looks for the maintenance panel."

"Agreed." She said with a nod to Eshen. "Saren, I'll help you carry them. Four feet are better than two." She said as she turned and looked down into the foyer. "Ready?"

He grimaced as he watched her struggling to breathe, wincing in horror at the soon-to-be-dying person. He poked his head out of the turbolift, looking around for any kind of anxious maintenence panel. He didn't want to step out and trigger another trap.

"There's no time, I'm afraid. Our teammate is dying," his face remained calm, because showing his fear right now would be detrimental to the team. "I'll follow our previous steps. Doctor, be ready - this will work." So he stood up, ready to go back. "Be careful, sir. Allow me to carry most of the weight. Let's go."

She gave a nod and rushed into the room, retracing the steps she had taken moments ago.

Sighing once he took out the needed equipment. "I am.. ready." Voris kept a blank expression but was scared inside. He didn't want someone dying on his watch. The doctor carefully watched Sam's steps but stayed inside. (edited)

C'Telle retreated back into the turbolift to let them through, watching intently and holding his phaser.

Eshen kind of thought Sam was going to be more of a burden than a help considering Vulcans were way stronger than the strongest human, and it would be better to let him, perhaps even Vorin if he took after his Vulcan side enough, or even one of the Caitians, who were also stronger probably, assist Saren, but they didn't have time to discuss that, so he just followed her to the #foyer. Then again, Allan had thrown a chair at the ceiling earlier. At the very least, Sam could hold Am'el's legs up so she remained horizontal.

With the team working together and not managing to hit any further trapped panels, they successfully managed to move Am'el back through to the turbolift room.

Her breathing was raspy, as she still was unconscious, looking lifeless as she was dragged back.

"Good job not dying." He stood aside so Voris could do his thing.

Eshen walked into the room. "I think I can use the tricorder to tell which panels have electricity under them? Maybe?"

He immediately started working on treating Am'el, wasting no time. Voris thoroughly uses his medical equipment on the Ensign. The doctor was extremely determined to have her recover.

Her breathing was not just raspy, it was agonal breathing, as previously stated twice. This was far worse than 'raspy breathing'. It was the last-ditch effort of the body before it died.

He lost any attention to his current environment as he was focused on his patient. Nothing else mattered at this moment. He did a medical scan before he attempted anything.

The medical scan indicated the patient was going into direct respiratory arrest.

He decided against asking if any help was needed - the medical officer would ask for some if needed. Instead as soon as soon as he lowered Am'el, he just... stood by, carefully watching out for any dangers or intruders that could appear, trying to block out the sounds of raspy breathing, the vision of another hurt Romulan, out of his mind.

Of course. He had already prepared the equipment and began working on treating Am'el. He's not going to let her go. Since she wasn't breathing, he first used the respiratory tube on her. (edited)

C'Telle stood back, uncomfortable. He blinked and looked up at the ceiling, also trying to ignore what was going on.

"Well, as I said I think I can detect which panels are electrified using the tricorder, maybe... Although, Allan, how do you stop electricity from being... On?" He shook his head. "That sounds like a stupid question, hold on. Can we overload the electricity with more electricity?"

With an i-gel in and Am'el successfully bagged, it meant that Voris could take control of Am'el's breathing. Something like a neuro stimulator and any form of hypospray to aid in pulmonary and respiratory function would also help to stabilise her.

"Not a stupid question at all, what's the tricorder say?" Allan said, "I mean, you can cut power somehow if we have a connection to the panels with the electricity underneath them, probably. I'm not sure if overloading would be the safest option?"

He placed a hypospray onto her neck for pulmonary aid, applying the neuro stimulator onto Am'el. Throughout this, his expression was.. calm. Though a hint of fear was in his eyes. He's not going to let himself lose another patient. Voris keeps assisting in her breathing in a rhythmic pattern.

"I was just wondering if someone had a convenient EMP if that would help? But you're right, probably better just to switch it off. The tricorder isn't saying much since we're not in the zippy-zap room, but you can use your own when we get in there." (edited)

After a good few minutes of work, Am'el was stabilised. It got to the stage where she could breathe again unaided, heart settling into a proper sinus rhythm, and after a couple of minutes longer -- coming around again. The wonders of modern medicine!

[Comms] The static from the comms faded out, and after a moment, was replaced with a familiar voice. "Team One from Giles Comms check: how do you read me?"

"Ahhh." Seeing she's now breathing on her own, he takes off the respiratory tube. Voris scans her again with the medical tricorder in case something else may have come up. To him, it was important to double, even triple check as some things can be sneaky.

"Jericho! Can I call you Jericho? Doesn't matter, we read you!" Eshen said, smiling brightly, optimism still unfettered.

C'Telle looked back down, relieved that she was stable. Whew, that was way too close. He felt himself becoming angry at yet another one of his team injured, and he shut his eye and did the breathing techniques that Eshen had done.

She started coming about, groaning as she did. Her eyes fluttered at she looked up.

They looked over to Am’el, relieved that she was alive.

He put away the equipment but still scanning her with the medical tricorder.

"Good, uh... good job." He muttered.

He let out a sigh of relief. Fucking hell. "Hey. Scared us real good there," he uttered, giving her a slow nod. "But you're okay now. All thanks to the doctor over here."

"Ensign. I would prefer if you didn't compliment me." He sideeyed to C'Telle. He saw having too many compliments can eventually blind someone with pride and narcissism. A bit ridiculous but that was just Voris.

Eshen, who was just about to praise Voris, shut his mouth. "Right. So, um, the electricity, and dealing with it..."

C'Telle was about to retort, but didn't. His mouth snapped shut and he stated at Voris for a second. Breathe, breathe, godamnit. Okay. Move on. Who cares. He looked down at Am'el. "Glad you're okay."

She didn’t know what to think at first, but she merely tried to get back up on her feet. “Thank you.” She nodded

"Like I said. I'm here to make sure everyone is alive and well. Rest for a few minutes before trying to get up. You had electricity disrupt your breathing, and you're body would appreciate the short rest." He stated calmly.

He moved closer to the zip-zap room, eyeing it over. "What's our current theory? Trying to use the tricorders?" he asked.

Eshen nodded. "Yes, though disabling the electricity would be easier, either by overloading it or turning it off."

“Turning it off sounds good.” They said.

"I do not want to do this again so please, I would prefer if that was off and not zap someone else to potential death." He said in a bitter tone.

"If anyone has any ideas for how to do that, let me know. It's beyond my capabilities, unless there's a replicator nearby with which I can make a massive rubber red carpet." ...He actually did look around for a giant replicator.

Considering how there had been a good amount of equipment in the foyer, it could be presumed that there was a replicator somewhere which had procured that equipment...

“We could overload it, and it would fry them, then we can walk through.” She said, as she moved off to find a panel.

“Also a good idea.” They added.

He muttered before sighing. Voris would have preferred Am'el rested a bit longer but. Hey. If she gets hurt again at least he's here. The doctor remained silent.

"Yes, I've suggested that about two times, but we'd need some kind of EMP for that." Wait, could he actually make a huge rubber carpet? For real?

"Not gonna lie, I actually kinda like the carpet idea," he admitted, now moving around the room to try and find a replicator...

The Caitian ran a hand through his fur, thinking. "I agree. Should we all look for a replicator as the first course of action?"

Peeking back into the foyer room (which wasn't coursing with electricity at present, thankfully,) there was what seemed to be a replicator built into the far wall. It was partially obscured by one of those stasis crates pouring out frosty fog.

Eshen grinned. "Oh my god. Saren. Let's make a giant rubber carpet!"

Oh that mysterious crate had certified bad vibes. Romulan eyed it warily, but still nodded to Eshen: "Let's do just that, then. For the grand entrance and security."

This was grandiose AND humorous, which were two things Eshen adored. "Let's go!" And so the two desert creatures stepped closer to the frosty fog...

C'Telle exited as well.

C’Sara followed C’Telle. Caitians stick together.

Allan went behind them, he definitely did NOT like the cold and was actually glad he didn't have the shorts on for once. That would be even colder.

He stayed by Am'el's side. Once deciding she was fine without his supervision, his eyes slowly moved to focus on the crate emitting the fog. Curious. Voris' eyes narrowed. A stasis crate?

There were three crates creating that cold fog, stacked up at different sides of the room.

[Comms] "Hey team, would you guys mind if I investigated something real quick before we get too far apart?" He said after tapping onto his combadge.

[COMMS] "We need to get this done. Do what you want 'til we get back, but if it's not a hostage or something useful, don't spend too much time on it."

[Comms]"Alright." Voris then made sure to take out a tricorder to scan the floor. It would be a bad thing if the team's doctor was unavailable. If the floor was clear, he would step closer to the crates.

She followed along close to the doctor, also making sure not to step on the wrong tile.
