Terrasphere West / cobbled-streets

@Away Team Two beamed in here: cobbled streets with ambling pedestrians on a hot day, bags of merchandise in hand - some kind of commercial area. Nearby shops were:
T'oni's Rigatoni Khitten Cafe, and Deep Dish Nine
Additionally, in the distance, they could see a large colosseum. Many of the pedestrians were going that way - particularly 'Klingons'.

This... was not what he was expecting to see when they got beamed down. Even if they were toled to be expecting all sorts of bizzare locations, landing in an alternate universe Rome with a colosseum loomimg somewhere in the distance, still caught Saren off guard. "... We are clearly so overdressed for today's weather," he uttered under his breath, deadpan as always, his musing heard only by whoever was standing closest to him. He looked over to his team: "Should we explore first, or follow the crowd? There might be a show going on soon..."

"They certainly went for realism," Senang commented dryly under his breath. He knew at least two of those restaurant names were present in San Francisco, which was a weird throwback he wasn't quite prepared to deal with. He was built for heat, and certainly didn't feel it like Saren seemed to do. "Exploring might be better. I hardly want to be in the same place as a large number of Undine, if we can avoid it," he suggested, ever of a practical mind.

Her antennae flared back as soon as she took in her surroundings, immediately she became alert and agitated. That feeling that something was about to go wrong slowly crept up her spine and into her throat. She wasn’t suppose to feel this, but she did anyways. Yaveru huddled with the group, trying not to get left behind. The whole sight of it had caught her off guard, but one aspect struck a chord into her more than any other. In hindsight this was to be expected, since the Undine shape shift, but she hadn’t thought of it. It wasn’t a pleasant sight. Yaveru was clearly taking the heat a lot worse too, not being accustomed to it and generally disliking it meant she was already sweating a few minutes into their stay on… where ever this place was. “I think the Lieutenant is right. Perhaps we should split into smaller groups?”

"Realism makes for easier navigation," he nodded, eyeing the passing "people" and noting how they were presenting themselves. The way they held their heads and straightened their backs, their gaits, the swing of their arms... the Romulan, a creature of lies and passion, was clearly taking notes from his fellow pretenders. Yaveru's comment made him let out a thoughtful hum, arm raising up to touch his side, where the isolinear chip of his team was hidden. "Usually splitting results in untimely deaths, but that is in horror movies. Here, though... what do you all think of this suggestion?"

"I'd prefer not to. It's much harder to keep everyone safe if we're in a bunch of different places, so it'd be better to keep as a group unless it is absolutely necessary." Senang felt responsibility for this group, especially as his two superior officers had been split off into different teams. He needed to keep everyone safe.

Not splitting apart was how they were encircled last time, and in her mind she was trying to prevent that, while in truth she was bordering on incredible paranoia. It was difficult, especially in the heat, to try and think less impulsively on her own. Luckily she wasn’t alone, at least for now. She observed the many individuals walking around, the way they walked so familiar, but unlike anyone she actually knew. “If we get caught as a group, that risks all of us no? Although I have no preference either way. I suppose we should find an objective first.”

"Strength in numbers lieutenant." Aoife said jumping into the conversation about splitting up. "Breaking into groups is a very easy way to get picked off and killed and I'd like to avoid that, I don't know about you guys but dying is bad for your health last I checked." Aoife sipped in a joke at the end to diffuse any tension. As she spoke anyone particularly observant in the group would notice that Aoife checked over her rifle making sure it was loaded and properly set almost completely without thinking. Holding a rifle was clearly second nature to her.

"I would agree. I spent a lot of time in the sick bay last time someone tried that on me." In reference to them being taken out pretty decently by the Undine the last time, of course. Still, it was their attempt at meeting Aoife's joke. "Let's stick together as best we can. Preventing preventable deaths would be preferable." Holy mother of alliteration.

Throngs of people pushed toward the colosseum, but the other three shops were close enough to pop into before investigating what all the fuss was about over there - they just had to start with one.

He nodded, agreeing with the rest of the crew - unless forced apart, they should stay together. But that meant that they now had to choose their go-to location... His gaze wandered over the nearby shops, corners of his lips tugging up in a smile after recognizing the Deep Space Nine reference, until... The scientist of the group blinked, then again, and extended his hand to point sharply into the direction of a very, very specific location, placed snuggly between the two cafe's: "There," he said, and of course the zoologist was immediately attracted to the cat cafe. "First place to investigate. That one."

"Kitten Cafe it is. Let's get moving." Aoife slung her rifle onto her shoulder and got ready to head into the Cafe.

Senang did like kittens. And cats. And cat-like things. They were cute and he liked them, okay? Even the really big ones on Earth. Like tigers and leopards. Although if they had tigers and leopards here, even simulated ones, he'd be a bit worried. "Best case scenario it's just cats, right?" he mumbled as he followed after Aoife.

She simply followed the group, still highly uncertain about what they were going to do, but at least they had something. Oh well, perhaps they’ll find something more interesting soon.

Yoro’clis would silently follow the group with his rifle ready to fire, scanning for any threats. He trusted the scientists and engineers to know what they were doing. The Jem’Hadar just wished to provide for security to the group and watch out for any threats.
