Renakir was visibly saddened when the scientist nodded to confirm that he was working. He shook his head in an attempt to get Kali-fal's antennae out of his face, nearly shaking his sunglasses off. After regaining his composure, his found it in himself to look at Paco again. "Oh, um, sure," Renakir froze in place, allowing Paco to approach him so he could pat Kali-fal on the head. The epohh responded with a soft squeak and a biiig lick of Paco's hand. Her rough cat-like tongue was incredibly long and she looked quite proud after the action.
"Friend," Renakir repeated the word, his eyes moving to some random spot on the wall as he contemplated the meaning of the word. He and Paco were friends, but he didn't feel like he should have been allowed to embrace such a word. Not after what he had done-- or really what Nirral had done. "Thank you, Paco," Renakir clenched his teeth together, trying to regain his focus.
"Y-Yeah, I am glad you're alright. The disruptor was actually mine.. If you remember from the Raid, I stole it from a guard and gutted it to make a toy for Kali-fal," Renakir realised he didn't speak to Paco much after that event, but he was sure their experiences were more or less similar. "You don't have to go to work so soon, but... I am glad it's a good distraction," Renakir shrugged, voice still low and soft, barely more than a whisper. "I'm doing better than I thought I would be," He said, purposefully being very vague with his answer. "I was just picking up Kali-fal and we were going to relax at home," Renakir replied, looking down at his epohh and suddenly realising Paco was way closer than he rememberd him a second ago. He didn't chuckle with Paco but he appreciated the scientist's attempt to lighten the mood. "Oh umm.. I was meaning to ask you, if you saw my old sunglasses? Thankfully I'm wearing my extras, but the glasses are custom made for me and I was thinking of bringing my old pair to my father to repair."
