"He did? Well, that's at least something. He didn't make such promise to me," Saren smirked, shrugging his shoulders. The Romulan had his own suspicions and theories, from Sy just being a closed-off person when it came to those sort of matters, not unlike Saren was; the other options were... much less simple, and much more unpleasant to consider. "Only time will show, really. But, between you and me, he doesn't seem like a type to lie."
Head of the House, huh. If they and Sy went through with the whole marriage thing, Sakkath would become his in-law. What an insane thought.
"It's still, hm, upsetting? That the conflict had popped up in the first place," he then sighed. "And that your betrothed had decided that showing teeth to your uncle, that is supposed to be his family at some point in the future, was a good idea. That mulleted brain of his works in mysterious ways, truly."
And yet Saren couldn't help but appreciate it, just a little bit.
"Feels weird calling yourself that, huh? You'll get used to it, eventually," the younger Vulcanoid commented on Sakkath's unsure tone, offering them some sympathy - he was going through a not quite same, but a similar struggle, and the double surname was evidence for that. His stare soon turned... just a tad mischevious, as he added, voice slow and casual: "No, he didn't say anything about you. Not verbally. But I do know that, as he escorted me away from the lounge, he kept looking over his shoulder. He wasn't looking out for Hanaj, though. It's kinda fucking hilarious - no offense, Sakkath, I am saying that as a witness to my older cousin acting like a lovesick teenager."
