Eshen led and Saren followed, his mind slowly clearing up, as they got further and further away from the Chief Engineer's office. He let himself drift away from the persistent buzz in his head, taking in slow, measured breaths, listening to their steps and the pleasant hum of the massive station.
"That sounds nice," he murmured, loud enough for his dear daehlen to hear. "I like that. Should organize it someday, but... not right now."
He needed to talk to his brother, first.
But that was for later. That conversation didn't exist yet. What did exist, though, was the feeling of Eshen's warm palm (ungloved, he noticed a bit belatedly), an anchor in the storm that just passed. Saren gave it a gentle squeeze.
"Do you think Alizati will be... mad, at the state of his office?"
