Star Trek: Eventide 777 - acos-voxellus

One side of these quarters had remained untouched for quite some time. In the empty room belonging to Atatite the common grey bedside table had been replaced; instead of it sat a table with a singular drawer beneath, all of which seemed to be made out of reinforced glass or another transparent material. The surface looked to have a wide crack in the middle but what lay within shimmered and shone; crystalline edges of an open geode pattern shimmering with purple colours. The resin poured over the top preserved the design, and it was difficult to tell whether the geode was actually a fake or whether it was real. A neatly-written note sat atop the small table.

Lieutenant Atatite, I am aware that you have been held up in your transfer to the station and I regret that I haven't had the chance to welcome you aboard yet. You signed up to the Secret Santa via our newsletter and this is the gift to you - I thought it might help to turn 'quarters' into 'home.' She entered her quarters with Kh'reyah and took off her weapons from her belt and put them on the wall. Then she walked to the couch and flopped down on it with a sigh of relief.

Kh'reyah flopped onto the sofa next to her and scooped her into her lap with a satisfied growl. (edited)

She chuckled a little and snuggled into Kh'reyah's lap, smiling softly as she closed her eyes. "This is quite nice."

"There are still plenty of things we can still do," She laughed softly into her ear.

She raised her eyebrow slightly and looked at Kh'reyah, smiling softly. "Like what, dear? You're making me quite curious." She chuckled a little and poked Kh'reyah's belly in a teasing manner.

"Whatever you prefer! So long as you like it." She replied with a yawn.

She smiled and snuggled up against the other, wrapping her arms around Kh'reyah's waist and pulling her in closer. "Well, how about we stay like this for a while? And if you're tired, we could always go to bed."

"We could share a meal if you'd like." She suggested. "I have plenty of energy."

She shrugged a bit and looked back at Kh'reyah. "Sure, why not? What do you have in mind?"

"Gagh." She smirked mischievously. "And rokeg blood pie."

"Oh god, please no!" She said with a laugh. "Anything but that." She shook her head and pulled a playful face of disgust.

"Well, what do you want?" She asked with mock indignance.

"Have you ever had typical French union soup?" She asked with a bright smile, trailing her finger down Kh'reyah's side.

Kh'reyah purred a little as that finger ran down her side. "Once." She admitted, "On Risa. It was excellent. You want some?"

"Yes please!" She said with a bright smile, planting a soft kiss on Kh'reyah's lips.

"Get off me first." She mumbled against her lips, "Or there'll be no dinner for you..."

She chuckled softly, holding Kh'reyah closer. "What if I don't wanna get off you?~" She smirked slightly, giving the Klingon an affectionate squeeze.

"Then I'll have to lift you off me and replicate dinner anyway." She grabbed the human by her hips and peeled her off her chest before walking away to replicate dinner, which was french onion soup as promised. It certainly smelled delicious, which made her smile.

She let out a pleading noise out of protest as she got plucked off of Kh'reyah's chest but stayed silent once her lover was off to fetch them some dinner. When she came back she smiled and put forward a pair of grabby hands. "Can I have some, please?" She asked in a pleading yet teasing manner.

"Yes, you may. Here you are, don't spill it." She teased placing a bowl of warm soup into her waiting hands. How cute. "I'd hate to have to haul you to sickbay for burns."

"Thanks!~" She said excitedly as she took a spoonful of the soup and consumed it. It was amazing! It reminded her of her time back in France. She smiled at Kh'reyah as she ate her soup, she absolutely loved this all.

Kh'reyah sat down next to her with a yawn and started on her meal with a satisfied hum.

She scooted closer to Kh'reyah so that they were closer together as they ate. She enjoyed the feeling of being close to Kh'reyah, it made her feel more whole in a certain way.

Kh'reyah made a sort of low growling as Sam sat closer to her, then wrapped an arm around her back and pulled her close to her chest.

She yelped a bit seeing she was still holding her soup, but when she finally settled she let out a soft laugh. "Perfect~" She smiled and placed a soft kiss on Kh'reyah's cheek.

The Klingon smiled and nuzzled her soft brown hair. "I want children one day." She mused. "I wonder if that time will be with you at my side."

She looked up at Kh'reyah and raised an eyebrow. "Well, in all honesty, I'm not one for kids. They tend to be... Problematic." She said with a chuckle. "Maybe one day when I'm not in Starfleet anymore, but not any time soon."

"Your choice. I enjoy children." She quipped. "How adorable they can be..."

"No thank you. I have too much on my head as is, children won't help the cause." She said with a laugh, leaning back and enjoying her soup some more.

"But when you're older?" She asked, "I can wait."

"Who knows? Maybe I'll never leave Starfleet to begin with. Time will tell, dear." She said with a grin.

"I do not mind." The Klingon leaned in and rested her forehead against Sam's with a hum of satisfaction. "Your choices are yours. I will be pleased to support them."

She chuckled softly and pressed a soft kiss on the Klingon's lips before pulling back. "I'm glad to hear it."

The Klingon laughed against her lips and wrapped her arms firmly around her hips. "Good. I'd like a home on Earth. Somewhere sunny..."

She smiled softly and layed her head on Kh'reyah's shoulder, snuggling in a bit. "Well, my old place in France was quite sunny. Though in the winter it did get very cold and rainy." She said with a chuckle. "But even that had its charm."

Sam walked into the quarters and gestured to the couch. "Take a seat, grab a drink. Knock yourself out, really. I'll go grab my PADD so I can make a few calls." She said with a grin as she walked to a different side of her room, trying to find the PADD.

Ellanor made a tea and sat down on the couch. "You have all of this to yourself? Lucky!"

"Perk of being ACOS; I get my own quarters." She said with a chuckle as she picked up her PADD and flopped down on the couch next to Ellanor. "Let's see here... Commissions Office..." She said to herself as she scrolled through her contacts list.

She took a drink of tea and watched Sam on her PADD. "I may just start crashing with you then." She joked with her sister.

"Sure! I don't mind. Just means me spending more time with my lovely sister." She said with a smile as she tapped her PADD a few more seconds before pulling up the right contact. "Right. You ready?"

She took in a nervous breath and nodded. "Yes I'm ready. Let's find Connor."

"Alright. Here goes nothing." She let out a sharp exhale and started the call.

After a few short moment a cheery voice answered the call. "Starfleet Commisions Office, how could I help you today?"

"Hi! This is Lieutenant Samantha Voxellus, Assistant Chief Security on Starbase 777. I had a question regarding one of my relatives." She said back in a cheery voice, looking over at Ellanor for a moment, giving a slight shrug.

Ellanor stayed silent, but gave her sister a confused look and shrugged back.

The sound of typing could be heard for a moment. "Ah yes, Lieutenant Voxellus. I'm here to serve as best I can. You gave a question? I most likely have an answer."

"Yes. Do you know the current posting of one Conner Voxellus? He's my brother and I know he's enlisted within Starfleet, but that's about it." She smiled a bit, even though the person on the other end couldn't see her.

"Give me one minute." The sound of typing continued on the other end of the call. "Here we are... one Connor Voxellus is currently serving aboard the... Hudson at the moment."

"So..he's alive?" Ellanor asked the person on the other side of the PADD.

"That and where is the Hudson now?" She added to the question Ell asked.

"Yes Mr. Voxellus is still Alice atleast as far as we have heard. As for the Hudson..." A few more minutes of typing ensued on their end. "They are currently in the Betazed sector running a pretty standard scientific mission."

"So he's a scientist then?"

"That would be correct Connor is with the science department. Is there anything else I could help ya'll with today."

"Is there a way we can contact him?"

"Betazed sector..." She mumbled to herself. "That's a few days away." She whispered to Ellanor before turning her attention back to the conversation.

"I could give you his PADD contact if you would like but, to contact him face to face you all will need to sort that out yourselves."

Ellanor looked at her sister. "You contact him. He'll talk to you." She whispered.

She gave a nod to Ellanor. "Yes, thank you. Send the details to me, please."

Just as ordered the details including Connors PADD number was transfered to the PADD in Sam's hand

"Thank you! Thank you so much. Have a good day!" She said as she then ended the call. "Right." She turned to Ellanor. "Shall we contact our brother?"

Ellanor felt her nerves building. She took in a shaky breath and smiled. "Let's give it a try."

She gave a nod and typed out a message.

Hey, Conner! It's been a while, hasn't it? I was just sending a message to see how you were doing. I haven't spoken to you in a while after all. Reply quickly! -Sam

She looked over at Ellanor. "Now we wait..."

"That's the hardest part, I think. Waiting is extremely difficult for things like this."

A few moments later however, a response came in.

Sam? My sister Sam? Where the hell have you been, rifle girl? I thought you had died or something. How's life going for you? -Conner

She perked up hearing her PADD go off so soon, she held it out for Ellanor and herself to read. "Well, that's a start..." She said with a nervous chuckle. "You want to say anything?"

"Um, I don't know. I guess just a hi?" She skimmed Sam's PADD and read his message.

She handed the PADD over fully and smiled softly at her. "Give it a shot."

She took the PADD and typed some.

Hey, Connor. It's been a while. it's me, Ellanor. I'm here with Sam. We're just curious about you and how you were doing. -Ellanor

Some time passed, just silence. Then, another notification.

Ell? I- I don't know what to say. I didn't think you were still out and about. God, you two are making your old brother cry -Conner

Ellanors eyes filled with tears and she handed Samantha the PADD silently.

She let out a soft chuckle out of disbelief. "Told you he changed." She said quietly, putting her arm around Ell to comfort her. With her free arm she was typing up a new message.

Sam again. I was curious, robo-bro, would you want to meet up again anytime soon? We know you're in the Betazed quadrant right now, but it's pretty calm there, no? Surely you could make some time.

I suppose it's possible. I'd have to discuss it with my captain first and assign a replacement, but I could be there in two weeks time? Scratch that, I will be there in two weeks time. Promise. -Conner

"Two weeks? You better let him know about my man friend so he's prepared." She smiled at the PADD. He really did change.

"And my lady friend." She said with a chuckle before typing.

Oh, one more thing! Ell has a boyfriend and I have a girlfriend. So don't be surprised if you see a random Orion guy or Klingon lady walk in on our little family reunion. -Sam

Well, congratulations both of you! I'm still trying to find someone myself. Maybe I'm just too old. Anyways! I'll see you both in two weeks. Robo-bro out -Conner

"Two weeks.." She sighed. "I hope he's changed.."

"He seemed pretty changed to me! I mean, he talked to you and he seemed to be delighted when he heard you survived. Sooooo, I'd say he changed quite a bit." She said with a bright smile.

"What did he mean by he didn't think I was still out and about?" Ellanor looked at her sister confused.

"That you were alive? In Starfleet? I don't know, you'll have to ask him when he gets here." She said with a soft smile, hugging her sister after a few moments of silence. "And truth be told, I'm happy that you're our and about as well."

She smiled and hugged her sister in return. "We gotta figure out what in the world we're going to do when he's here."

"We could fire an EMP dart at his arm?" She laughed softly at her own suggestion, looking at Ellanor with a devious smile.

"As excellent of an idea that is, I may have to pass on that. Just in case he still hates me." She smiled at her.

"Right, right. In all seriousness though, let's just get some food, drinks and snacks and chat. I'm sure it'll be fine." She smiled softly.

"Right," She nodded. "Should I make something? I feel like I should make something."

"Knock yourself out. I'm just bringing a bottle of bourbon." She said with a wink, smiling warmly.

"I'll pass on that. I was never much of a drinker." She laughed a little. "I'll bring the secret cheesecake!"

"Oh, he's gonna love that! Remember when we were at granny's place and Conner was basically begging for another piece of her cake?" She laughed softly, leaning back in the couch as she looked at her sister.

"He ate the whole thing and then wanted more!" She laughed. "Imagine what he's going to do when he gets a bite of mine."

"God, we can only imagine." She chuckled and leaned back. "Anyhow, you said something about wanting to live in my quarters? I'm perfectly fine with it, I can totally arrange something for you if you'd like?"

"Oh no Sam. You've always had your own room. Plus you're a Lieutenant I'm an Ensign. I don't think they'll like me being up here."

"C'mon! You're my sister, for crying out loud!" She said with a laugh. "Trust me, I can arrange it. Besides, I want to spend some more time with you. What better way to do that, than to share a room. Just like old time?"

"Yeah, I mean if you didn't mind me staying here. I do have a lot of posters, still. Mostly my old bands that's I like." She smiled.

"You still have those? Damn, I thought you had gotten rid of them already." She chuckled a little. "You could hang them up whenever, I don't mind."

"I would never get rid of them." She laughed. "I won't hang them up anywhere but my roomm though."

"Knock yourself out. I wouldn't mind either way." She smiled warmly at Ellanor. "Now, I'll go and contact the proper people for this little quarter sharing shenanigans, and I'll get back to you when it's all sorted out?"

"Let's do it. I'll be waiting eagerly."

"I'll let you know as soon as possible, promise." She said with a bright smile. "Now chop chop, you have a boyfriend to spend time with and I don't want to keep you occupied." She grinned at Ellanor, giving her shoulder a gentle squeeze.

"I'll go fill him in. I'm looking forward to all of us to hanging out." She smiled at her sister and stood, she then hugged her and walked out.

She hugged her back before waving her goodbye. Once her sister was gone she smiled and sat back down, grabbing her PADD and typing a message.
