It was another day, and a new one at most. Kira walked into her quarters and dropped her stuff onto her bed, taking a deep breath before grinning and hopping around excitedly. "Oh my god oh my god oh my god I'm in a STARBASE!! Zis is so cool!!"

She soon finished organizing her stuff and yoinked her satchel, running into the corridor.

Bursting in, she grabbed her pillow and covered her face with it, yelling as loud as she could into it without making any distinguishable sounds.

The doorbell chimed.

Kira freaked out and screeched, "OCCUPIED!"

"Ensign. Are you in distress?" He called through the door, followed by a barely audible sigh. "You seem to be screaming for no apparent reason."

"....oh." She facepalmed and went over to open up the door. "Sorry for startling you, sometimes i take ze bad feelings out by screaming. It does wonders."

Another illogical human behavior he'd just had to get used to. Why were these people just so... so... odd? He wondered to himself, crossing his arms and looking down at her. "I see." He grunted. "Do you do this regularly enough?"

"Eeeh, sometimes. Other times I just sleep or eat somezhing. Why?" She tilted her head a little, looking up at him.

"Merely curious." He answered, "Human behavior puzzles me sometimes. Especially in expressing their feelings and emotions." A brief pause. "This is but one of those behaviors that puzzles me immensely."

"Well- Humans are technically extremely weird in all ways possible. And you haven't seen anyzhing yet, it can get a lot weirder—" And then it hit her. "....uh. Wait. You don't express yourself? Like, nozhing at all? Oh, blyaaaa!" She gasped out.

"Of course I do, but not by screamimg my lungs out-" Founders, why was this ensign so weird? Had she never, ever even met so much as a Vulcan before? Urgh.

"Sometimes i punch somezhing pretty hard and multiple times until I feel calm again-" She scratched her head, not at all embarrassed by that remark.

Well, that at least he could understand. Punching things was how he blew off steam sometimes too. "I do that. On occasion." He neglected to say that he did it all the time, actually, confined to the holodeck.

"Zat's fair enough! I used to punch pillows or hug my chickens when i was feeling unwell back at my home in Earth." She replied, moving her hands around out of instinct.

"You would hug... chickens. As a form of stress relief." He raised an eyebrow.

"Yeah! Zhey were my best friends. I had cats, other birds, dogs, two hamsters who ate each other one day and a peacock who hated me." Kira explained, sighing softly as she remembered.

"You grew up with... a peacock... as a pet." He leaned in the doorway with a sigh of befuddlement. Was there no limit to what humans would try and domesticate? "And cannibalistic hamsters."

"I mean, hamsters are little adorable cannibals. And yeah! I grew up in a farm deep in Russia, so we had lots of animals around. And that peacock was my mozher's, it hated me to the point it wanted me dead-" She chuckled loudly.

"I- I see." He blinked and shook his head. "Very well. I shan't keep you for too long if you have other things to do, which I am sure you do-"

"Eeeehhh, not really." She shrugged.

"Do you not?" Another scaly eyebrow went up in surprise. "Even after the recent attack on the starbase?"

"I mean, i can't go down to Engineering wizhout going to ze medbay first, i just got here!" She exclaimed.

"Ah. I see." His mistake, then. He seemed to be making plenty of these of late. Not good. "Very well. I suppose I shall be seeing you around, then, inevitably. The starbase is only so large. Till then-" He began to back out the door.

"No worries, I'll see you soon- Also! What's your name, Lieutenant? I forgot to introduce myself. I'm Akira! Akira Romanovna, and i know it's a little weird to say zis but you look so cool!" She grinned, soon looking down again because her neck hurt. "Ow-"

Cool? He'd never been called cool before. Not in this sense anyway. He stared at her in confusion before replying "Ughaz'udan. Head of tactical on station. Thank you for the compliment."

"You're welcome, and zat is awesome- See you later, lieutenant!" Akira waved at him.

Awesome. Another thing he'd not ever been called. The Jem'hadar took a few moments to process that before slipping away, out of her quarters, in total silence.

...yeah, now just laying in bed before going to sickbay was getting a little boring. To not bore herself to death, she grabbed her stuff again and made sure to look both ways before going out the corridor.

she strolled into her newly assigned quarters and dropped her luggage next to her bed before studying her surroundings. After a moment she sighed and decided to unpack, taking out her personal items from their bags and storing them away. She finishes and stands up again with a stretch before grabbing her padd and looking through it to see what she would have to do next.

she finishes scrolling through her padd and decided to look around the station to get familiar with it. She grabs a small bag and hung it from her shoulder, putting the padd inside and stepped out of her room.

she had reentered her quarters and pulled out her padd again. She had looked over everything to make sure it was right.

she finished up and had put her padd down again before leaving her quarters. She had seen there was a forest trail in the environmental ring and had wanted to check it out.

She entered and took a sonic shower before changing into her pajamas and going into her new covers. It seemed like her career was starting off with a good start.

She had shot out of her bed after a few moments. What was she doing? She had plenty of energy left, she should devote that time to looking over reports and paperwork. She was the investigations officer after all. And a lot had happened on the station before she came along. She had probably missed out on alot. She quickly puts on a robe and goes over to her monitor to look at and study any paperwork or reports that may be useful.

She looks over the assignment gives to her just then. She began to look through papers and video files concerning what had happened.

She finished looking through the reports and video evidence that was recorded about the Klingon general. She then got up to check out the brig and get a snack, bringing along a padd to take notes and continue working.

She enters her quarters for the second time since they had arrived at the station. She walks over to her monitor to finish up her report on what happened during the mission.

She paused and looked up for a second before going back to work.

She finishes her report, her first report. And got up to stretch, writing down everything that had happened was... actually really relaxing. It definitely helped her to go over everything she could have done better and the things she did right as well. Although, it was a lot of sitting down in one place for a long while which made her slightly restless it was nice. She quickly changed into her swimsuit, in the mood to go check out the pool.

She renters and takes a quick sonic shower before changing into uniform and grabbing her electric whip. She put it back down after a moment. She probably shouldn't use the real thing until she was at least decent. She'd practice on the holodeck first. She left.

She had been in her quarters for a while now, she had been reading a book before getting into a very frustrating conversation with someone in the chatroom. She wanted to throw her padd across the room but she felt as if the dude didn't even deserve that. If someone couldn't pass the academy? They didn't deserve to be an officer...they'd risk so many lives and people just because they weren't willing to put in the work. She sighs and gets up to change into uniform. She decided it would be good for her to take a walk, calm her nerves.

[D] A courier left a Secret Santa package outside of these quarters for Ensign Akira Romanova. Inside was a thick, brown (real) book with silver writing on the cover. The book was called “The history of Russia 1950-2000”. With it was a message that read as follows: “Merry Christmas! I hope you enjoy the present. I heard you like history, so I figured you might find it interesting. - your Secret Santa”

[D] Kira just got back from her shift and was about to step in when her foot lightly bumped into the gift, making her jolt and immediately look down at it. Softly gasping, she smiled and knelt down to pick it up, entering her quarters to open it.

Technically there arent meant to be visitors but Im going to ask that you check in on him. I feel bad for the kid and I think he could use some emotional support now.
