Having returned from the starbase attack none the worse for wear and eager to get back to normal life once more Streelan exited his quarters in casual clothes. He had somewhere to be, with a friend.

Having returned to his quarters the previous day he headed out the door in a maroon shirt and jeans. He needed a walk - and a little social interaction.

[D] A courier dropped off a Secret Santa gift just outside of these quarters for Lt. JG. Streelan. It was a nice and neat brown paper package with pretty string that was dyed by hand and tied into a neat bow on the top. A letter would be tucked within this wrapping, under the string, but above the package itself. Within the letter it was signed by three names, each with their own formal writing style. “We hope this gift is something that helps you remember where you’re from and also visualize where you may go in the future. From Ava Lopez, Samantha, and Stone.” When the packaging would be removed, there would be a simple black plate with an area to input a command or place a scroll near by. This would transmit a message of location to the device whether using current position or an inputted one. From this transmitted message, the device would create a holographic globe outlining the stars when viewed from this location, both from an outside perspective (as seen like a traditional spherical globe) or an inside perspective (as seen like a design on the nearby walls and surroundings of the layouts of the stars).

Streelan trotted from his quarters in uniform. This conference promised to be interesting and he wasn't about to miss any of it! Least of all the food...

Streelan was instantly on his feet and changing out of uniform and into a simple shirt and jeans before trotting out the door.

The Kelpien inside had just finished with preparations for dinner; hearing the doorbell he called out "Come in!" Before darting off to his room to change.

She entered and looked around, she was wearing a pair of grey pants and a light shirt that complimented her dull auburn fur well "Streelan?" She called, slightly confused at the fact he had said to enter but couldn't find him

"My apologies- sorry, my dear!" He reappeared from the bedroom dressed in a simple maroon button-up shirt and jeans and embraced her, nuzzling her lovely red mane. "How have you been?"

"I have been good." She said, her tone happy and half purring"How have you been?" She asked, her tail beginning to swish happily behind her

"I've been marvellous, and better now that you've come." He smiled and planted a kiss on her forehead. "Hungry?"

"Yes I am!" She said with a nod "what are we having?"

"Well, I promised you steak didn't I?" He nodded to the two plates already laid out with food on the kitchen counter behins him. "And... well, cheesy as it sounds, I suppose each other's company also counts!"

"You did indeed, just wondering." She said, looking to the plates and smiling at him "And I am perfectly fine sharing company with you." She added with a smile

"Wonderful. I am most pleased to be sharing your company as well." He laughed and led her over to the dining table. "I'm afraid dessert isn't exactly made from scratch however. I am not good with baking and so on..."

"I'm afraid I am the same way... I can barely make cookies with the premade packets and all you do is cook them." She said, laughing a semi-rueful laugh as she let him lead her "But I am sure it will be great!"

"And so I've replicated instead. I hope you like waffles.' He sat her down before bringing dinner over: a generous steak on each plate. He also brought over another pan which seemed to be full of vegetables. "I wasn't entirely sure if you eat carrots and so on," He admitted sheepishly.

"I must admit I've never really looked into it, I've just avoided them..." She responded in her own half sheepish tone "I don't think so though..." She said added, she looked at the steak and smiled "You went all out didn't you...?" She asked, giving him a smile

"I am a man of my word, that's all." He opted to leave the pan in the middle of the table; she could take some if she so wanted. "Well, go on. Eat!"

She smiled and sat laughed at his exclamation to eat before she did so "Alright..." She said before taking a bite "This is really good!" She said after she had swallowed

"Thank my mother for teaching me, bless her." He smiled, pleased that she liked what he wanted, and walked off to fetch a pot of mashed potatoes to place in between them on the table. To share of course.

"She taught you well." She eyed the mass potatoes with some uncertainty but took a small helping to try with a smile"These are good..." She said with a smile after trying them, her writer could find nothing about mashed potatoes being bad for Caitians so its fine... "Just like the steak"

"I'm glad." He remarked.

"How is yours?" She asked, her voice happy and half purring, between bites

"Good. Better with company and even better with your company." He teased.

Her happy smile turned more embarrassed "I am happy you think that Streelan." She said in an embarrassed tone a few bites later

Noticing her change of tone he reached over and laid a hand on her paw. "Is something wrong?"

"It's kinda embarrassing..." She admitted with a small chuckle "How you keep making me seem like I am so important..."

"Because you deserve to feel important." He smiled.

"I still don't have to like it..." She said with a playful and determined tone

"I can do it somewhat less if you like." He quipped, "If you genuinely don't like it of course."

"It's just embarrassing... It's fine..." She said after a second, squeezing his hand back gently and smiling

"Again I'm only giving you what I feel you deserve. You are important - as am I in this relationship." He let go of her paw and resumed dinner.

"Alright... I agree on that last part for sure..." She said happily, referring to the part of him being important as well. She resumed eating as well, squeezing his hand one more time

He smiled and went on with dinner, now awaiting her to finish before they continued with dessert.

She finished about a minute and a half after him so he wasn't waiting to long, she smiled at him "That was really good..." She said with a small smile and purring gently

"You might like what I have for dessert..." He stood up and left for the replicator. When he next returned he had a stack of waffles with vanilla ice cream on a plate - complete with caramel sauce in a tiny jug.

She laughed at the dessert, not a harmful laugh, but one that was amused and happy "That looks perfect." She said happily

He handed her a fork. "Here. It's for us to share. You can have the first bite."

She smiled and took a bite before waiting for him to take a bite "It's good, almost as good as the steak!" She admitted after a seconds thought in the same happy, half purring tone

"I'm pleased. Have as much as you want." He responded, taking his own first bite.

She nodded and took another bite "How was your day?" She asked casually after she finished swallowing

"Normal - work in the laboratories of course, and then our date." Stree smiled.

She returned the smile "At least nothing like the attack happened again." She said with a thankful tone

"And we've been able to enjoy this time together." He quipped.

"That is a major plus!" She exclaimed happily

"Yes, it is. Would you like to move over to the sofa when we're finished?"

"Sure, I'd like that a lot." She said with a smile

Streelan finished his portion of the plate leaving the rest to her in no time and waited for her to be done.

She took a few minutes longer than him, she was savoring each bite and then when she finished she wiped away some ice cream that got on her cheek before smiling at him "Ready?" She asked happily

Streelan took her by the paw and sat down with her on the couch, her head on his shoulder.

She followed, her tail swishing behind her happily as he led her, she cuddled up to him, purring softly, a smile on her lips

He wrapped his arms around her and nuzzled her soft mane with a yawn.

She continued to purr softly as she yawned as well, closing her eyes.

"Tired?" He chuckled softly into her ear and stroked her furry cheek.

"Yeah... I am..." She admitted with a chuckle of her own, still purring softly

"I can let you sleep if you'd like. I'll be on the sofa; you can have my bed if you'd like." He offered stroking her mane.

"Is that mandatory?" She asked softly, still nuzzled against him "I am perfectly comfortable here..."

"Then I shan't stop you from laying here as long as you desire." He murmured against her forehead. "Because I too am most comfortable."

"I am glad to here that..." She said softly, nuzzling herself a little deeper into him and yawning again, her eyes still closed as she purred happily

Stree reached over and began to gently stroke behind her ears. Maybe she might like that like a Terran cat would.

She continued to purr happily, she moved her hand around him so she was partially hugging him as she smiled with closed eyes

He leaned into her and gave her a soft peck on the cheek, just inches away from her lips. Chops? Whatever. Those still counted.

She smiled at him and closed her eyes, a few minutes later her breathing deepened, signifying a sucesful journey to sleep

*Streelan smiled and hugged her close to his chest before laying his head down on top of hers and closing his eyes.£

She continued to breath deeply as she slept, her head nuzzled into Streelan, still purring softly

She stepped through the door into the room and sighed. She immediately located the replicator and ordered a cup of coffee. Taking the cup she made her way over to the door and stepped out.

The quarters was much like the others, her side decorated much like her home in the Alps. She kept the light at a mid level, creating a soft welcoming warm environment. Her ski's and tennis racket were mounted above the computer interface. Her violin rested on her chair, on the nightstand a photo of her family, next to it one of her niece, and beside that, of her wife. She smiled at Heinrich as he entered. "Welcome to my home away from home."

As Heinrich entered, the first thing he noticed were the skis. "I see you have Ski's, impressive." As Heinrich began to look around, he took note of everything she had.

She walked over to her replicator and began to prepare dinner. "Please... make yourself comfortable."

Heinrich looked around for a spot, finding a seat on the couch, taking a seat.

She paced about preparing the meal humming the same tune Heinrich hummed in the lift.

Heinrich listened curiously to her humming. Was that what he was humming earlier? The song sounded familiar, but why? Why was this tune so familiar? Then it clicked. Der Himmel ist so trübe. That was the song.

She set the table and set down two plates of Zurich Ragout, sided by Raclette. She took to flutes from a cabinet and set them down on the table pouring two glasses of Humagne Rouge. "Heinrich... are you ready for dinner?"

"Der Himmel ist so trübe." Heinrich said looking up at her. "That was the song I was humming.."

"Also yes, I am prepared for dinner."

She led him to the table, offering him a seat. "I made a family favourite... well... I gave the replicator the recipe." She chuckled. (edited)

Heinrich walked over, holding out the seat for Odessa to sit in. "It looks very interesting."

"Yes, I believe you will find it rather delightful." She took her seat with a smile and waited for him to do the same.

Heinrich pushed her seat in and went over to seat himself. "I believe I have had this dis before, though I am not sure. What is the origin of it?"

"It's Zurich Ragout, or Zürcher Geschnetzeltes. It's from the German region of Switzerland."

"Hmm..." Heinrich thought for a moment, in his travels, he hadn't spent much time in Europe. IT was mostly mission after mission for Khan, he got little free time, or when they were staked out, they had some time to explore. "I'm not sure then."

"Well then, hopefully it is a pleasant surprise." She smiled as she took a bite.

He took a bite as well. Surprisingly it was good.

She set her fork down and sat their watching him for a moment, admiring him. There was something different about him... he wasn't fully the same Ensign she had met before. She liked this version of him, even if he still acted automated.

Heinrich looked up from eating, raising a brow "Is there something wrong with me Doctor?"

She smiled. "In a manner of speaking, I would say yes. Heinrich Boheim, the same man in my office 3 day's ago, solid as a rock... is now sitting at my dinner table, displaying emotions."

"I suppose what clicked is that I considered acting like I acted in private with Genesis."

"Like a robot?" She continued with her tease.

"We were much more loose with each other, but we kept some composure to hide the fact we were married."

She smiled. "That was definitely composure on the medical ring. Textbook definition." She chuckled as she took a sip of wine.

"I suppose so." Heinrich took the glass of wine and downed it.

She watched him down the drink with surprise. "I suppose you enjoyed your drink

"Yes it was quite good."

She glimpsed her violin on the chair and smiled. "Heinrich? Do you have a favourite song?"

"Not in particular, though I have always been fascinated with Moonlight Sernade."

She stood from the table and walked over grabbing the violin. She returned and rested against the back of her chair. She gave it a quick thought recalling the song humming it softly. After a moment she allowed the music to shift from the humming to the violin.

Heinrich listened, but quickly he was humming along with her. This time he knew he was humming.

She played for almost the duration of the song before requesting the computer to continue. She offered her hand to Heinrich.

Heinrich raised a brow. But accepted her hand.

She led him up from his chair to the open living area. "Now, please tell me you in your 400 years of wisdom, have learned to dance?"

"Yes, I know how to dance, Genesis taught me."

She nodded. "Well, might I have this dance?"

"You may." Heinrich began to lead her as they began to dance.

She smiled, her eyes glistening as they paced across the room. "I must say Heinrich, I am pleasantly surprised."

"That I can dance? Are you so surprised? I had to pick pocket someone while dancing."

"At this point it would not surprise me." She took her hand to remove her Tri-Comm and tossed it to the table. "Ich denke, du bist viel weicher, als du aufgibst."

"I would disagree with that, but at the moment I will not."

She gave that 'really?' look as she took lead of the dance.

He raised a brow, but continued to dance.

"Komm, sei ehrlich zu dir." She smiled, her eyes still locked on his. "The other day, you came to me to remove your augments... not because of personal issues, but because of concern for others... then today... you took care of me at Rana's... and then the corridor? That... that is your soft side... whether you want to admit it."

"I will admit, being around people has...softened my inner person."

She smiled. "See, doctor's don't lie." She whispered.

"Doctors have a time to lie, I usually know when they are."

"Oh? And am I lying?" The dance came to a stop and she stood still holding his hands.

"Not at the moment no."

"Nor would I."

"I know you wouldn't, but you never know based on the situation."

She led him over to the couch taking a seat. "If I was in a situation to lie to you... it would be to tell you that you don't walk like a robot." She joked

"Mhm..." Heinrich yawned slightly. "It seems my resting period has come."

She nodded. "It would seem it is that time." She stopped for a moment. She leaned over placing a kiss on his cheek. "Thank you for everything today."

"You are most welcome." Heinrich stood from the couch. Walking towards the exit.

She stood and walked up to him. "Let me walk you back."

"There is no need Odessa."

She didn't push any further. "Very well. One last thing..." Standing on her toes, she took his chin in hand, placing a kiss on his lips. "Gute Nacht mein Ritter"

Heinrich nodded as he left.

[D] Shortly afterwards she cleaned up from dinner and headed out on her way to night shift.

She stepped inside and looked around to see if Dr. Ferrufino was in... She didn't see him and she turned to look back at Heinrich.

Heinrich entered the room, looking at Odessa. "Well then.."

"Well... you could stay for a bit?"

"I should..." Heinrich was flustered. "Uhh....I mean..."

"Just for a bit?" She pleaded.

Heinrich sighed. "Very well.."

She smiled and pulled him further into the quarters to the sitting area.

Heinrich followed.

"Sit..." She directed him onto the couch. "What would you like? I have everything... well... the replicator does..."

"I'm fine for now." Heinrich sat know the couch.

"Okay.." She slumped down on the couch rubbing her nose. "My nose is gonna hurt for a good bit... I thought for sure I was gonna be out..."

"Well you are a strong women."

"Strong in mind... not in spirt or strength..." She rested against him and stared out at the infinite night ahead.

"I am strong in mind and strength, not strong in spirit."

"Well that's what we both need to work on then."

"Together that is."

She reached over taking his hand and intertwining her fingers with his. "Together.."

Heinrich smiled and nodded. Leaning back onto the couch.

"I saw that smile..." She curled up next to him under his arm.

"I was unaware you could see me smile."

"Is it such a bad thing? You look so cute when you smile."

"Says the Swiss doctor."

"Hmm? What about it?"

"Oh...nevermind..." Heinrich closed his eyes slowly.

"I wanna know!"

"Its nothing!" Heinrich said as his eyes were closed. "I'm fatigued..."

"Do I need to carry you to bed?"

"No I will just...sleep...here...."

"I don't think Vince would enjoy the surprise of walking in to see you on the couch..."

Heinrich had already fallen off to sleep.

She stood and helped him lay down. She went to her room and grabbed a pillow and a blanket and brought them to him. She tucked him in and sat on the couch leaning over to give him a kiss on the forehead. "Gute Nacht, Liebling."

Heinrich began to snore as he slept.

She smiled and rubbed his head gently.

And now his player is tired

For the sake of the other player Odessa’s player is gonna pause rp for them… She stood and walked away for a moment and took of her heels. She entered her room for a moment to change for bed. She returned her hair loose against her back and she wore a dark blue nightgown. She had wiped away her makeup… YIKES… and she walked over to the couch. She snuggled up next to the sleeping Heinrich and it wasn’t long before she fell asleep too.

Heinrich blinked a few times before awaking himself fully. He looked seeing Odessa snuggled up next to him, she was holding him. Which was...slightly strange. He had recalled what they did last night. Slowly making Odessa let go of him before standing up.

She shift for a second at the sudden movement making a cute almost kitten-like noise before rolling onto her back with a yawn, as she stretched out her arms. She blinked open her eyes and was greeted by a delightful sight. She sat up on the couch and yawned once more. "Guten Morgen Prinz Charming."

Heinrich looked back at her with a smile. "Good morning."

She stood up wrapping the blanker around herself to keep warm. She walked over to him and stood on her toes, placing a gentle kiss on his cheek. Her brain hadn't woken up yet and she seemed to be locked in German for a bit... "Kaffee?"

"Nein." Heinrich said as he looked over to the replicator. "Coffee, black, hot, 2."

She rubbed her eyes and walked over to her room comically throwing stuff around till she found a scrunchie... and pulled her hair into a messy bun. She walked back over to the living area where Heinrich was.

Heinrich grabbed the coffee, moving to the sitting area and placing them down on the coffee table. He sat back down. Yawning once again. "I'm not sure what it is, but I am still tired. Perhaps my augmentation of not getting enough sleep is dying off, that was..if I had one."

She sat next to him taking her coffee and taking a sip. “Have you considered sweetheart, that you might be overworking yourself?

"I worked days without sleep, so no. I am not overworking myself."

“That’s not how it works. Yes you have augments but they are genetic… eventually certain things will diminish… you need to sleep… augments and all you are human…”

"Alright Alright.."

She sipped her coffee as she desperately tried to wake herself up.

Heinrich sipped his coffee with one long probably annoying sip. Setting the mug down on the coffee table. "I should probably..get to work.."

She wasn’t bothered by his lack of table manners because she was sitting at the table looking like she went through a temporal vortex… “If you would like the freshen up you can use my bathroom…”

"I uhh.." Heinrich looked down. He wasn't that much of a wreck though...he could freshen himself up a bit..it would be acceptable.

"Very well, I accept the offer." Heinrich headed towards the bathroom.

She yelled from the table. “whatever you do don’t touch the perfumes!”

"Why would I touch the perfumes...?" Heinrich said in a calm voice from the bathroom.

“I don’t know…”

Heinrich emerged a few minutes later. "There..finished."

“Very handsome.” She stood. “My turn.” She walked into her room for a moment to change. It was her day off so she changed into a dark blue jumpsuit and put her hair into a it’s normal loose style. She did her makeup and other way to long routine and emerged a “moment” later. “There we go.” (edited)

"Yes..very handsome indeed." Heinrich smirked a little when she emerged. He was clearly talking about her.

She playfully did a little spin before walking over to him. “Shall I take you to work?”

"There is no need. Most of the work that I am doing currently is doing reports on what we have in the armory and such."

"Much of it is just PADDs."

“Well then I will walk you to the armory!”

"There is no need.." Heinrich sighed. There wasn't much room to convince her to not walk him.

“Please… let me walk with you.”

"Very well..."

“Thank you. Shall we go?”

"We shall."

She grabbed a jacket from the closet and putting it on and offering Heinrich her arm.

Heinrich took her arm, walking out into the hallway.

[D] She entered the suite looking around, as usual she didn't see Vincent.

She left.

[D] She had entered a while back after the incident with Hsarr and changed from her uniform into another of her typical jumpsuits. She sat on the couch with a cup of hot cocoa trying to figure out what had just happened.

[D] There was a chime from the door. Who could it ever be.

She looked up to the door but didn’t move from her spot. “Enter…”

Heinrich entered with the bouquet of flowers at his side. "Liebe."

She stood from the couch and walked over. She didn't yet notice the bouquet. "Hey, um... come on in..." She looked down at the flowers. "Who's the lucky lady?" She asked trying to seem cheerful.

"Well these were supposed to be for you." Heinrich raised a brow like an android ~~data~~ would. "Is something troubling you?"

"No... of course not... everything is fine." She walked to the closet to grab a vase and filled it with water, setting it on the coffee table.

"Clearly something is not, you are talking funny." Heinrich set the flowers in the vase.

“Everything is fine Heinrich…”

"I think you know by now I know when you are lying."

"I would prefer not to talk about it." She sat back down with her cup of cocoa.

"We said we would get through things together.." He firmly said.

She ignored his statement and looked away, with the unfortunate circumstance of looking at Angela's photo. She reached over and flipped the photo down.

Heinrich looked over at what she was looking at. The photo, that was her former lover, if he was not mistakened. He had gone ahead and read her file, totally because he wanted to learn more about her, but that was a while ago now. "Is this about the incident?"

"Is it? What might have given you that idea?"

"You looked over at the young lady over there in the photograph, then you flipped the photo down. Now, I am no expert on human emotions like a counselor, however, that makes me think whatever is agitating you is due to that photo. Or the incident that resulted in her demise."

"Just some unpleasant memories."

"I see....." Heinrich sad as he sat down next to her. "I see the situation is so bad you really don't want to talk about it with you boyfriend. Let the feelings flow as they say?"

"My roommate... Ferrufino... he was there..."

"There as in...the incident in which your former lover met her demise in?" Well that was a stupid question, it was obvious by the look on her face the answer was yes. "And what exactly did he...tell you?"

"He didn't have to tell me anything... He was the one to drag me away..." She set her cup down. "I will never forgive him... but I can't forgive myself for how I treated him today..."

"Yes...I...heard your call for his apprehension. I was confused as to why you wanted him apprehended, now I believe I understand. I have a feeling he did something during your first...meeting that upset you, and now since you know who dragged you away, you are angry at him, because he dragged you away from what you loved. Which at the time was her." He pointed at the flipped down picture. "How am I doing so far?"

"I snapped at him... but it doesn't defend his actions." She felt guilty herself for her actions but the counsellor's reaction was unwarranted. "Assaulting a Starfleet Officer, more importantly one performing medical care, is unwarranted."

"I see...no wonder you had security called on him. Regulations state that you are not to interfere with medical personnel within an emergency. So I understand why you snapped at him."

"No... you don't! I snapped before he grabbed me... I asked him to simply let me perform the care way I wished... and to cooperate with me. I told him he had no problem cooperating when he let Angela die..."

"Woah there. No need to yell, im right here..." Heinrich looked genuinely worried. "Alright, so I don't understand."

"One life for many... that's what he said..." She looked over at him. "It should have been me... not her."

"Odessa...liebe...you can't blame yourself for losing someone you love. Sometimes fate just has its ways. You lose everything at one point, and you rebuild the structure of life until it breaks down again. Sometimes pieces fall off or are broken, and it takes two hands or people to repair them. The counselor did what he could."

"Did he? He didn't try! He grabbed me and left... that was it!"

"And what if he had gone back? He could have perhaps killed himself if he tried to rescue her?"

"There was time... there was two of them... given the chance... the three of us could have saved her..." She sighed. "But the Judge Advocate didn't want to hear my explanation..."

"They seem more like augmented rule then starfleet.."

"It is what it is at this point. I have to go down to Security to press charges... who knows if that's even a good idea..."

"Do what you feel is right, if you don't then your mind wont be at ease."

"Nothing feels right..."

"Life never feels right...the point is to get it to feel right in the end."

She buzzed the door and waited outside.

Heinrich looked at the door. Then at Odessa.

"Let them in... what can it hurt."

Heinrich then looked back at the door. "Enter!"

She entered the room looking between the two. "Am I interrupting? I can come back."

"No... that won't be necessary Chief... what can I do for you?"

Heinrich raised a brow. Who was this again?

"Kye Moore, Xarantine Sector JAG office... I'm here regarding the claims you made against Lieutenant. Ferrufino..."

"Very well... please have a seat." She gestured to the chair across from the couch.

"In private perhaps?" She glanced to Heinrich.

"With due respect, anything you have to say you can say in front of him."

"I am here to support her, nothing more, I will be silent."

"I'm going to cut to the chase..." She took out her PADD. "According to the report, you have made several accusations against the Lieutenant... and quite frankly they are very serious... do you wish to add to the record?"

"I have nothing further, quite frankly my request to security was straight to the point and my report establishes it."

"Then you wish to press charges on the current report?"

She looked up at Kye, then over to Vince's half of the quarters but didn't respond.

"Lieutenant, this is an important matter... do you wish to press charges?"

"Give her a moment Chief." He looked at Odessa with a worrying face.

"I... I'm dropping the charges..." She stated flatly without looking from Vince's side of the room. After a moment she turned to look at the Petty Officer. "I am formally requesting all charges related to my assault be dropped on grounds of a formal reprimand for the interference in my care of Lieutenant Hsarr M'ow."

"Lieutenant, you are aware of the circumstances? Are you sure you are dropping the charges?" She asked in that monotone lawyer voice.

She looked up at the woman with piercing eyes. "That's what I said is it not? Drop the charges? I suggest you make it happen before I change my mind..."

"Liebe calm yourself."

"Very well, I shall notify the JAG office of your decision."\

"Yes, please do." She looked at Heinrich showing that she wanted the woman to leave.

"Of course, have a good evening." She made her way out of the room.

Heinrich looked at her leave then at Odessa. "I have never liked lawyers..."

“This isn’t my first and won’t be my last run in with Moore…”

"I see.." Heinrich said as he sat back down. "How do you intend to deal with this Ferrufino?"

“I don’t know… I’ll figure it out after the charges are dropped.” She rubbed her neck where he had picked her up from her collar. “Quite honestly I can’t even begin to comprehend what happened.”

"Give it time."

"IF you need some space from him, I am sure you move in with myself and Eshen, though Eshen is in there more then I am."

She smiled slightly. “You would like that wouldn’t you?”

"Like what?"

She reached over and grabbed her cocoa taking one of the flowers from the vase. She was trying to keep a lightened mood. “Me to stay with you…”

"If you so wish to stay with me, stay with me, if you do not wish to do that course of action, that is fine by me. I have no opinion on the matt, I am simply trying to give an alternative to your predicament."

“It’s a very sweet consideration.”

"Quite welcome."

It was funny that they were discussing that, because while they were talking, an Operations officer had already showed up outside to burn one of the names off the engraved sign outside of their door. There was no one to replace Steiger's roommate just yet, however, so now she was listed as the only name on the sign.

“Judging by the sound outside though, perhaps it’s been resolved.”

"It would seem so."

"I'll take the offer regardless... this room gives me bad vibes.."

She grabbed a new cup of cocoa from the replicator.

"Or perhaps I could just move in with you, but that wouldn't be the most smartest idea."

"I just don't want to be alone right now."

"I am right here for you."

"I know love... I know.."

He nodded as he sat back down.

"Would you like a drink?"

"If its not too much trouble."

She walked over to the replicator. "What will it be?"

"Beer!"

She rolled her eyes. “Beer…” She took the tankard and carried it over to him.

He took it, taking a long sip. "Ah.."

She sat back down on the couch with a sigh.

"What is it?"

"I'm just unsure of everything..."

"I'm sure it'll all turn out well in the end."

Comet checked themself in the mirror once before leaving their bedroom, crossing through the common area, and leaving their quarters. Their first day aboard a new station, their first day as a lieutenant (junior grade)...they were excited! New friends to make here, new shuttles to get to know.... They couldn't wait.

[D] Time to crush some happiness... the door hissed open and an overly agitated Odessa storms into the room muttering in German... supposedly some nasty words about a certain lawyer. She stopped short at the sight of a newcomer, frozen like a ghost.

She looked at all the new stuff where Vince's used to be... "Well, they sure move quick..."

Comet entered their quarters, turning and heading to their bedroom, looking around at the standard yellow decorations. On their bed there was a box of belongings. They crossed the room and opened it, removing a stack of photos, a couple posters, and those old stringed lights. Within a half-hour, Comet had their room set up, with a wall of photos across from their bed, several fantasy posters next to their wardrobe, and the lights strung around the room, allowing them to turn off the lights. It was then that they sat down in the center of their bed and pulled out a binder. (edited)

They got a stack of paper, a pen, and started writing. Ensign Nalas Za'ari Next page. Ensign Heinrich Boheim Next page. Ensign Oskar Weber Next page. Ensign Eshen K'Tann Next page. Lieutenant JG Odessa Steiger Then, they went on filling in what they knew about each person. Personality, interests, dos and don'ts, things they liked....but their roleplayer didn't feel like writing it all in.

[D] She stumbled from her bedroom in her civilian attire with com-badge attached and with an air of irritability made her way to the replicator. "Cocoa, 30* Celcius." Several annoying beeps later she took her cup and sat on the couch trying to recollect the events of the day...

Comet sat up when they heard a voice in the common area. Their roommate, perhaps? They stood up and peeked out. "Hello?" They called with a friendly smile, looking around and spotting Odessa on the couch. "Hello, roomie! I'm Comet," They said, stepping out.

She looked up from her cocoa and tried to put on a smile... "Oh, hey... Odessa, but Dess is fine too." She was a dishevelled mess, her hair usually nicely brushed or pulled back looked like a jet engine was put to it, and her makeup was smeared, one could assume she had been crying.

"Oh, my prophets, are you alright?" Comet asked, noticing the state their roommate was in. "You look like you've been crying!" Way to state the obvious, you rusty self sealing stem bolt. "Did something happen?"

"Just mourning my failure as a friend, colleague and roommate..." She stated drily as she took a sip of cocoa like it was a flask of whiskey.

"Oh..." Comet sat down cautiously beside her. "I'm sure it wasn't that bad! But I don't have the context. I could, though. I could lend an ear." Mind your own business, public transportation seat piss stain. Um. Harsh. Anyway.

"It's nothing... give it a day and I'll be normal..." She took another sip of cocoa. "Besides... what's done is done."

"Normal? All emotions are normal," Comet said wisely. Middle finger to their voice in their head, Dess needed a bestie.

"I meant normal as in... my normal personality."

"Oh. Well, you take all the time you need. Drink your comfort drink...any comfort foods?" Comet asked, standing and moving towards the replicator. "We can have a little picnic in the common area." They hardly knew the doctor, but they wanted to be such good friends with their roommate, so they would do whatever it took.

"I'll take anything... just food." She twirled her drink.

"Food it is!" Comet declared, deciding on two plates of waffles. Nice a carb-y and comfort food-y, generally enjoyed by most, and their favorite, a Breakfast for Dinner food. "Here you are, one food," They said in a fancy waiter voice, handing Odessa the plate.

She put on a soft smile and thanked them, before digging in to her plate.

A smile: also known as A Small Win! They sat down and began cutting their waffles into bite sized pieces. "I don't think you're a failure as a friend. I mean, I just met you, but I trust you,"

"He lost his job because of me..."

"Oh, that's horrible, I'm sorry," Comet said sympathetically. They took a bite, chewing, then looking at her. "You wanna talk about it? You don't have to, but I'm here, and I'll listen,"

"I'm not ready to discuss it yet." She continued to eat her waffle peacefully.

"That's valid," Comet nodded, smiling at their roommate. New friend...maybe?

"Thanks for the waffles."

"No problem!"

"So what do you do here?"

"Hmm? Oh, I'm a shuttlecraft engineer," Comet replied.

"Oh, interesting... those things... they always need a tender hand..."

"That they do," They nodded, laughing softly. "Kinda like working in medical, I'd expect. I'm a shuttlebay doctor,"

"Everyone is a doctor of something..."

"That's smart. I might use that,"

"Please do.."

"You got it. I'll credit you. "Like my wise roommate once said: Everyone is a doctor of something". How's that sound?"

"Oh please don't... I don't need the credit."

"Suit yourself, I guess," This conversation was getting...awkward.

"So, how long have you been on board?"

"Thanks," Comet grinned. "Well, I've got...things" A binder full of notes that make you look like a stalker. "to work on. See ya!" They said, standing and returning to their room.

’I don’t have that much energy do I’ She resumed drinking her cocoa.

[D] Heinrich appeared at the entrance of Odessa's quarters, entering as he walked in. He sat down on the couch, he had a cloths wrapped around his hands.

[D] She heard the door open and finished what she was doing before exiting the bedroom. She smiled when she saw him, walking over. As she approached him she noticed the wrap on his hand. She sat down next to him taking his hands in hers. "Sweetheart! What happened to your hands!"

"Hm?" He looked at his hands quickly. "Oh, it was nothing, just...doing some training."

"Just training? Let me see."

Heinrich held out his hand, letting the cloth fall from his hand. It was lightly bruised, but not much more then that.

"Mr. Boheim... when I tell you to be home for dinner... I mean the way I left you!" She flipped his hands around looking at it and feeling for broken bones because it wouldn't surprise her.

"Well I am technically the same way you left me, I just twisted some parts of the way you left me."

"Don't get smart or this couch will have your name on it."

"I'm not sure your roommate would like walking in on me on the couch, nonetheless him trying to wake me."

"I take it you haven't talked to operations about a move have you?"

"I haven't had the time.." She chuckled. "In case you forgot, operations is on the very bottom of the station..."

"Doesn't take long to send a PADD, but yes, you are correct."

"This is a very important matter to me, I will do it in person."

“So, dinner?”

"That is why I am here, so yes."

"Very well... what did you have in mind?"

"I was hoping you had that planned...but uh...hmm.." Heinrich thought for a second, he wasn't sure what to eat. "How about Rosti and fondue?" (edited)

"I keep my options open with my loose cannon... but Rosti sounds wonderful." She stood and made her way to the dining area. "Liebling, can you set the table?"

"Uhh....." Heinrich stood, approaching the table. How the hell did you set a table? He wasn't a waiter, he didn't know the first thing about setting a table.

Noticing his confusion the approached him and held his shoulders. "Maybe I should do this..."

"I can just go replicate.."

"No... I'm going to teach you..." She replicated the required utensils and dishes.

"Very well.."

"This is just a casual evening dinner... so you only need a few things." She set the two plates and a smaller plate on both. "Regardless of drink choice, everyone gets a water/drink glass, and a wine flute."

"Yes..I have...seen these items before.."

Heinrich folded his arms slightly, behind his back, that was his way of letting Odessa know he was at least paying attention.

"Then everyone gets silverware... for a small meal just a spoon, knife, and on the other side, a fork..." She finished setting and with an air of delight stepped back to admire her handywork. "Voila!"

"It looks...very fancy." He said, he wasn't sure why it was necessary though, all you needed was a fork and spoon and a glass of water that was it.

She walked over and patted his cheek. "Just be happy you aren't setting the table for the wedding... wait till you see how many forks there are."

"I won't even bother to ask, as I am a soldier not a waiter or a servant."

"Now, would you like to make the fondue?" She asked walking back towards the table.

"Uhh....I'll leave that to you."

Heinrich sighed, he felt rather useless, since this wasn't his specialist. He felt rather out of place.

She rubbed his cheek and leaned up to whisper. “My room, third drawer down… there’s two bottles of Hefe Weissbier.”

"Ah..." Heinrich's eyes lit up, well that was something that was his specialty, alcohol. He made his way towards her room going to her dresser, and opening the third draw down. It wasn't too hard to find two bottles of Hefe Weissbier.

While he was south at she prepared the dinner.

He returned shortly, placing the two bottles on the table.

"I found the Weissbier, you're not very good at hiding it."

“I don’t have to… it’s medicinal.” She joked.

"Medicinal? Then why the hell did you ask me to bring it out?"

“Oh shush.”

"Very well."

She plated up the food and served the meal.

Heinrich graciously sat down at the table. "It looks delicious."

“Good old fashion StarFleet replicated cooking.” She took her seat with a chuckle.

*He chuckled as he took a plate *

She opened her beer and held it out for a toast. “To us, our future, and long life.”

He opened his "Here here "

She smiled as she clipped the edge of his bottle before taking a sip. “Oh now that is a beer I can tolerate… not that synthale.”

"This is quite good...I do agree."

She was first to take a bite of her Rosti and to her surprise it wasn’t terrible. “It’s actually quite good.”

He took his bite of his own Rosti, she was right, it wasn't terrible. "You are correct."

“I would hope so, I don’t like being wrong.” She joked.

"No you do not..unfortunately sometimes you are wrong."

“But I wasn’t wrong about you…”

"Dont you mean I wasn't wrong about you?"

“If I remember… I asked you to dinner first.” She continued to eat with a cute grin..

"Mm...let's agree to disagree." Heinrivh grinned a little as he continued to eat.

“Agreed.” She reached over and grabbed his hand and gave it a little squeeze.

He then grabbed her hand and squeezed it ever so harder.

“I know you are having some doubts love.”

"What makes you say that?"

“It doesn’t take a counsellor or telepathy to read you.” She continued to hold his hand.

"You know I care about you, so it would make it hard to lose you. I don't need to lose someone, not again."

“But you won’t lose me.” She tried to sound certain but even she couldn’t make a promise like that.

"Even that is a promise you cannot keep. Everyone dies in love and war."

“But they don’t die in your heart. They live on.”

"Very...true..." Heinrich gave a weak smile.

"Heinrich..." She went to start but stopped.

"Hm?" Heinrich looked at Odessa "What is it?"

"Nothing..." She gave his hand another squeeze before going back to her food.

"What is it?"

"Nothing... nothing at all." She continued to eat.

"You're lying, you're not very good at it."

"Heinrich... it's nothing and I would appreciate if you would let it go..." She wasn't aggressive about it but in the back of her throat she was generally upset. (edited)

Heinrich narrowed his eyes slightly, to the point he was basically squinting. "Mmm..." He grumbled under his breath, going back to eating his dinner.

"Don't grumble... it's bad table manners..." She said in a less joking tone.

"Well I'm not exactly high society or anything." Heinrich looked up at her.

She was trying her hardest not to giggle as they approached the door. This was going to be rich. She looked at Comet and then at the door. "This is where they are?" She asked with a mischievious grin. The Romulan senator clearly had no fear, she was enjoying every second of this. Without wasting another second she pressed the buzzer three times before scurrying away back down the corridor.

“You will be…” She turned to look at the door. “Computer, who is at the door?”

"There is no one at the door."

“Was anyone at the door?” She was sure she heard the buzzer.

"Valleka T'Rylov was at the door."

“Aren’t you glad I corrected your manners… a Romulan Senator was at our door.” She didn’t sound too delighted at the idea.

"So? I do not care if it was the president of the federation. At least they would see I'm not a member of high society." He continued to eat.

“Very well…” She looked back to her food setting the fork on the side, and resting her head on her folded hands.

He finished after a few minutes. Setting his own fork down. "Whats the matter?"

“I’m marrying into the life of a soldier… and that’s fine. But you are also marrying into my life and there needs to be a common ground.” She looked at him with a gentle gaze.

"Such as?"

“I don’t know. That’s the problem.”

"Well if you are referring to similarities we have together, I can name a number. If you are referring to the way I act due to being a soldier and not having...let's say higher standards..." Heinrich cut himself off from talking.

“I’m simply saying love, that you need to meet me half way.”

"I will..." Heinrich paused, this is what he wanted. "Try."

"Promise?"

"I swear on my soul."

"Swearing is bad table manners love." She gave a bit of a grin but continued to eat her food.

"Heh..." Heinrich fell silent again for a minute or two, then let out a longer chuckle. "Quite funny.."

"You are going to give Stephan and Monika a run for their money..." She chuckled.

"Who?"

She smiled and pointed to a family photo on her side of the room. "Stephan is our butler, and Monika is our maid... but to me... they are my only family left."

"Oh yes...uh...I'm sure I won't make them run for their money, that's for sure, afterall, money is irrelevant nowadays."

"It's an expression Sweetheart. I mean they are going to have a hard time keeping after you."

"How so? I only require a few things and life will be easy for me."

"Yes well...you haven't seen the outfit they found me in."

"Probably a good thing." She smirked. "After our wedding you are suit free."

"IT was better then a suit, well, somewhat, it was a special ops uniform we wore, quite a piece of ingenuity, though mine was...specialized by myself during free time."

"I see." She nodded to pretend she had a single clue what he was talking about.

"Well..anyways..it was a long time ago."

"I'm not that old.."

"Sweetheart... I know... but comparatively... you are."

"400 plus years...yes im aware...realistically speaking that is...but by my looks I look around 30 or so."

"A very handsome 430..." She joked.

"That is what cryostasis can do to a person."

"Maybe I should try it..."

"I would not recommend it."

"I think I would look very good at 400." She teased.

"Hmmm...uh....I couldn't see it."

"Ouch..."

He smirked as he said this "I'm joking."

"Very well." She finished up her meal and leaned back watching him.

He yawned slightly. "Hmmm?"

"Tired?"

"Not particularly....I did sleep for 400 years."

"Right..."

"Are you tired?"

"I'm a doctor... tired isn't in my vocabulary."

Heinrich let out a small chuckle.

"Thomas?" She didn't know who it was.

"He was the doctor we had on hand during the war. He didn't sleep much, he preferred coffee and or drugs to keep himself awake."

"We very much would have gotten along." She chuckled.

"I'm not sure about that...he was....how shall we put it...different."

"Oh right... I see." She didn't bother to push further.:

"Yes...he wasn't the kindest man, though I think that was due to his mental state, so I do implore you to get some rest."

"And you?" She asked as she started to clean up the dishes.

"I am fine without sleep, after all, we could get drunk and you would be the only one drunk."

"I have to work for a living... so one beer was enough." She finished cleaning up the dishes.

Heinrich chuckled a little. "Will that be all for tonight?"

"I don't know Mr. Boheim, is that all?" She walked back over to him leaning against the table.

"That is what I just asked, so the question was directed at you."

"And I asked you..." She retorted.

"Well I am not sure, do you wish to continue this evening?"

"Only if you are going to be more exciting company." She teased.

"That depends on what you require of me." He kissed her on the forehead.

"I require cuddles..."

"That, I can do, though no promises on being smooth."

"Smooth huh?" She chuckled.

"I am rugged to my core." Heinrich walked over to the couch, sitting down.

She walked over sitting next to him, curling up in his lap. "I don't know... you are kinda soft..."

"I believe that is just my uniform." Heinrich weakly smiled as he layed back slightly, allowing her to curl up on his lap.

"Nope.. not the uniform." She smiled and booped his nose.

Heinrich softly smiled. "I thought it was just the person laying on top of me?" He booped her own nose.

"That could contribute..." She yawned and stretched her arms.

"Mhm...it could contribute. Though I'm not sure what else could. You are but a feather on my lap." *Heinrich chuckled *

With a half yawn. "Typically I would argue... but not today..."

"Then don't argue, just embrace it." Heinrichs tone turned very soft, almost seductive like.

She hummed softly against his chest in reply drifting to sleep.

Heinrich raised a brow, was she really already falling asleep on him.

What can she say... she works for a living...

Heinrich gave a soft smile, before closing his eyes, it took him a few minutes, but he dozed off.

Prepares for loud... SNOREEEEEE.

Sorry to disappoint, but Heinrich is a silent sleeper, something he learned from many nights out in the field.
