Dear Doctor Murrow,
I love how we’re able to refer to you in that way now instead of just ‘Student Doctor’ Murrow! When Fethul and I heard the news that you had successfully graduated we were so proud, and to find that you’re serving aboard the station that we visited earlier in the year? Well, we couldn’t be happier! It seems like a lovely place with lots of enthusiastic individuals, and we hope you enjoy it there. We’ll have to visit again at some time in the future, and maybe we could give the remaining part of our lecture, one day!
Fethul and I are back aboard the Dyson Sphere now, thanks to the work of yourself and the other staff at Starfleet Medical in saving Fethul from that poison. I’m not sure what would have become of him if Starfleet hadn’t been there to assist us. He’s doing perfectly fine now – again, thanks to all of you! – and he won’t stop reminding me of how we said we would like to give you a little something upon your graduation, as a thanks for your work and being so kind and reassuring to the two of us. We hope that this gift isn’t too out of the ordinary, but you deserved something interesting!
The other documents on this isolinear rod contain information on how to look after your gift, including biological data files if you would ever like to have a read. If not, then please just enjoy your new pet! Good luck with your new posting, and congratulations again!
Yours faithfully (or is it sincerely, the two of us can never remember,)
Professors Finellan and Fethul Drex.
