Lieutenant Lama tr'Ehweia | SEC BOT 04-Aug-23 10:20 AM
[D] For his second interview, Lama dropped by the ACEO! A Reman/Talaxian named Tulavix, apparently. He had read up on the senior officer's service record and it was honestly pretty impressive! He suddenly felt a bit awkward considering both of their histories. Although he had no hand in the oppression of Remans, he was a former Tal Shiar member. It was something that even if others were unaware of, Lama took very seriously when it came to xenoculture sensitivities. He was still dressed in his pretty security yellow, his uniform neat just like his hair! Bleach blonde contrasted nicely with his Betazoid eyes. Lama chimed the buzzer and held his PADD in his hands, anticipating the response of the engineer. Thankfully Lama's name-- Ehweia, was just another name in the pool of Romulan society. Although he did worry that his brother's eagerness to shout their family name and proclaim they were 'Loyal Empire Citizens' hadn't gotten their family name landed in the news. His problematic brother aside, Lama waited for a response from the Reman-Talaxian.

Tulavix wasn’t any the wiser about the Ehweias. He was more focused on the Torre’vnaus if he chose to care about Romulan politics. Most of the time he just didn’t have the energy to launch himself into that. Being ACEO was hard work after all! It took a lot out of him, which he was willing to give though. “Come in!” he said to the visitor.

Lama proceeded through the automatic doors once the command to enter came. With a loud swoosh the doors closed behind him and he stood at the doorway of the lieutenant's quarters. With a smile on his face and optimism in his grey Romulan heart, he greeted the other with a bow and a wave of his hand. "Jolan tru! Or Ye.. Yelan Zhu, is that the Havrannsu version? Anyway, I am Lieutenant Lama tr'Ehweia, detective and eye candy aboard the station," When he said eye candy he batted his eyelashes and turned his head to show off his pretty features, complete with patches of white around his eyes and mouth. "First off, thank you for agreeing to this. Second, do you consent to a voice recording of this interview? If not, we can also keep this interview to just a written transcript. By agreeing to an interview you are also agreeing for anything you say here to be shared with Starfleet security and the owner of the Supernova Bar. Is that alright?"

“Yelan Zhu, Lieutenant tr’Ehweia. I’m Lieutenant Tulavix, ACEO and plant enthusiast. This won’t be a very long interview, I wasn’t raised in Romulan space. But my family was so I suppose I do have some things to talk about. I consent to the voice recording. And share it with whoever it needs to be shared with.” He wasn’t going to say anything offensive after all. Tulavix was a nonchalant dude who never hurt a fly. He was just that type of guy.

Lama smiled when the other confirmed that he got the Reman greeting right and stepped further into the room. He grabbed his voice recorder from his pocket and switched it on upon being given consent to do so. "Oh, plants, I love plants too, specifically the Four-two-zero variety. Ya know, a guy needs to chill every now and then," Lama said with a very relaxed laugh. "So Lieutenant Tulavix, first question! Have you ever been to Supernova Bar and if so, please share your experience. If not, can you provide an answer why you haven't been?"

“Oh, the good stuff? Haha, I’ve done that a few times. Never made a habit of it though.” He chuckled along with Lama. Tulavix was a friendly guy. He was no eye candy, but he was a good friend to everyone and never judged anyone. Especially not on looks. Plus he thought he had a certain ‘cool facial features’ charm to him. But as the owner of his body he thought he was a bit biased. “I haven’t been to the Supernova Bar. For a few reasons. I don’t drink very much anyhow, I’m more of a coffee guy. And another reason is I do find the name to be offensive.”

"It's a good way to chill out! Man, I gotta make plans to visit Starbase 420 again," Lama had only been there once, but it was fantastic and he was eager to visit again. Probably with friends this time and not his very straight and narrow sibling. Imin was a cool guy, but they didn't really enjoy silly adventures. "When you first heard of the bar's name, what was the first thing that came to mind?" Lama asked as he looked down at his PADD and typed in some notes, glancing at his recording device to make sure it was still recording.

Tulavix wasn’t a Starbase guy mostly. He liked zooming through the unknown, after all. 777 was cool still, though. He just wouldn’t go to ANOTHER starbase for a vacation. He’d go to a planet. Tulavix had been to Mol’Rihan, he had only managed to find the scarce few of his Reman family that had survived the supernova. Two distant cousins. His father and aunt had to leave the rest of their siblings and their parents behind in order to escape, something that still haunted his father for as long as Tulavix could remember. “Of course I thought of the actual supernova. I was thinking, ‘people lost their whole families in the supernova, I lost nearly all of my Reman family, it’s definitely not something to turn into a name for a bar for people to dance and get drunk at.”

Lama nodded at Tulavix's words and noted down his replies in the transcript. There was a voice recording, but he wanted to also have it written out so for the records. "Yeah, I thought the same. I think about Romulus a lot," Lama admitted, one of the few instances where he was forthcoming with his deeper inner thoughts. Lama was not one for secrets, but he kept more personal feelings to himself. He never wanted others around him to be sad, which was also why he seeled his hert so tight. "And lastly, what would you like see happen to the bar? A few responses I have gathered have been suggesting a name change, a completely shut down, and/or an apology," Lama presented a few of the suggestions to Tulavix, wanting to know what he wanted to see come out of this event.

He nodded to Lama’s confession. Tulavix never heard much about Romulus. His dad had only even been on Remus as a slave in the mines, so all his stories were from Remus. Tulavix had never gotten to see either planet. It was sad still, that he never would get to see them besides in a holodeck. “Me too. I think about Remus a lot, I think about the family I never got to meet. As for the bar, I think the name should be changed and maybe the owners should apologize. Definitely don’t close the bar, the owners most likely didn’t mean any harm.”

"I have experience some Remus holodeck programmes, they are pretty fun!" Lama said, not knowing much about Remus aside from the holodecks. He was thankful that Tulavix grew up outside of the twin homeworlds of the Romulan and Reman people though, it was not a good place according to a lot of people. Lama was a small child during the 'Great Loss' as they called it. "Alight, I got your answers!" Lama said as he clicked his recording device to turn it off and then finished his notes on his PADD. "Yeah, I think the name should definitely be changed and an apology should be made. I was reading some responses from a few Romulan civilians and they were all asking for an apology. I hope the owner is understanding," Lama said with a thoughtful expression. "Do you have any other questions for me before I conclude the interiverw?"

“Send ‘em my way, then. I’d like to see them.” He was also thankful he grew up outside Romulan space. Even growing up away from the oppression of both of his parents, the scars of it were still visible whenever he talked to either of them. His cousins weren’t bitter about not escaping with Tulavix’s father. They knew he couldn’t have saved everyone. But when he talked to them he could see they were a little jealous that he had been free from the oppression they had been subjected to. “I hope the owner is understanding too. I don’t have any other questions, though. If the name is changed I might stop by for a drink.”

"Sure thing, I'll send them to you now! You also gotta check out R-BALD, they have some great films. Not all Reman, but they preserve all bald representation in media, you gotta watch Shrek 2 and the Rugrats, love those," Lama touched a few buttons on his PADD to send the holodeck programmes and the R-BALD homepage to the ACEO. "I hope so too, well I'll get back to you on the this saga, thanks Enarrain Tulavix!" Lama said, slipping up once again and just saying the Tal Shiar equivalent rank to Lieutenant, close enough, he thought. Anyway, he wave his hand to the nice Reman-Talaxian and headed off on his way!

Tulavix was in a good mood today. He had finally located one of his lost family- a cousin on Mol’Rihan. Just knowing that not all of his extended family on that side was dead was comforting to him. He was planning a family reunion, just to gather all the Reman family he had remaining. He hoped it wouldn’t be a mostly empty room.
