USS Kon-Tiki / bridge
Avatar
Lt. JG. Syrax tr'Morvar | CMD BOT 12-Mar-23 10:58 PM
Assuming that their short journey up was a succesful one, Sy cautiously made his way onto the Kon-Tiki's bridge - phaser ready, full alert...
Avatar
Lieutenant Amahle Ko | ENG BOT 12-Mar-23 11:00 PM
From the other turbolift emerged... Amahle! His hair a little disheveled and his dark eyes alert. While he did not have a phaser to hand (it was safely holstered somewhere he could reach with ease), he had a tricorder ready to see what he might scan and find.
Avatar
Lieutenant Topek Xakarix | ENG BOT 12-Mar-23 11:10 PM
He followed the other engineer onto the bridge, quickly spotting the engineering station and making his way over to it, transferring all of his data from engineering to the console on the bridge.

Now that all the teams have rejoined back on the bridge, they all can take the lessons learned during their time aboard and try to get home.

Lieutenant Amahle Ko | ENG BOT 12-Mar-23 11:22 PM
"I am going to try and find any energy signatures that match that of the wormhole, as well as conditions that might have caused it to appear. I will forward locations I do find to the others. Does this sound amenable to everyone?" Amahle called as he walked over to the sensor suite and started to familiarize himself with the controls.
Avatar
Lt. JG. Syrax tr'Morvar | CMD BOT 12-Mar-23 11:29 PM
Seeing familiar white and black outfits was never so reassuring. Sy put the phaser away and cracked his fingers: "Sounds good Lieutenant! Meanwhile I'll see if I can persuade this old lady to move," the Romulan walked towards the somewhat familiar helmsman stations, and started to poke around, trying to quickly learn the possibly slightly different controls that the NX offered. A rare chance he got, really! Didn't mean that he wanted to stay here for longer, though.

Lieutenant Beauregard Hopps-Leap | SCI BOT 12-Mar-23 11:33 PM
Still feeling a little stressed out, Hopps leaned on a wall for a sec, then sent a wave to Amahle and Syrax, two friendly acquaintances of his. "Did you guys have fun?"
Avatar
Ensign Parker Lovell | CMD BOT 12-Mar-23 11:39 PM
He stood on the bridge slightly awkwardly, not sure what exactly a lawyer of all professions would be doing in a situation like this, instead opting to take a page out of Lieutenant Hopps' book and taking a breather on the bulklhead near the now familar face.

Commander Angela Olson | MED BOT 12-Mar-23 11:40 PM
She had arrived, and could not help but look around at the area. Pleased to see it was in good shape. They would need it to get home after all, she’d rather do it in style.

Lieutenant Amahle Ko | ENG BOT 12-Mar-23 11:40 PM
Amahle turned to Beau and offered him a slight smile before he shrugged. "About as much fun as I can be here." He tried to Crack a joke, but soon enough he had turned back to check on his readings and other things.

Lieutenant Maya Umali | ENG BOT 12-Mar-23 11:41 PM
Finally stepping out of the turbolift, she looked around everyone in the bridge with a grin, finally glad they are on a good way to getting home. She headed over to the Engineering station with Topek, giving him a grin and a wave "Guess you have everything settled here, Sir?"
Avatar
Lieutenant Topek Xakarix | ENG BOT 12-Mar-23 11:45 PM
He grinned softly at Maya, gesturing to his console. "Not quite, could you help me align the warp matricies? It seems to have gotten a little out of wack during the ships transits through the wormhole."
Avatar
Lt. JG. Syrax tr'Morvar | CMD BOT 12-Mar-23 11:45 PM
"An orb screamed at me," he said a bit too nonchalantly from his post at the helm, before regarding Hopps with a somewhat concerned look. "Hey- maybe you want to sit down for a moment?.."
Avatar
Lieutenant Maya Umali | ENG BOT 12-Mar-23 11:48 PM
"Of course! Let me see what I can do here..." Maya smiled as she took Topek's offer, familiarizing herself with the stations controls and functions before attending to the warp matricies. Amazing how a lot of familiar tech in Starfleet more or less had its traces to this ship and similar vessels. (edited)

Lieutenant Beauregard Hopps-Leap | SCI BOT 12-Mar-23 11:50 PM
"Nah, I don't want to get too relaxed. Something weird might still happen and I gotta be prepared. I mean, weird-er." He laughed softly. "I appreciate your concern, though."

Lt. JG. T’Asha | SCI BOT 12-Mar-23 11:58 PM
T’Asha had been silent until now. But, she had to admire the old ship. It was good for its time, no doubt. It was a blast from the past and she was here to witness it in all its glory. But she had a question to ask Olson, medic supreme. “Commander Olson? How will we get the body out of the stasis chamber without disabling the stasis field and risking decomposition?”
Avatar
Commander Angela Olson | MED BOT 13-Mar-23 12:00 AM
Well, this was rather awkward, there was no medical station on the bridge. So she figured she ought to just stand by the empty Captain’s chair. “We’ll have to probably transfer it by shuttle craft. If we set up an auxiliary power source, we could simply have it run off of an independent portable station. But in all honesty the body likely won’t decompose that quickly, so a site to site transfer might just do the trick.” (edited)

Lieutenant Topek Xakarix | ENG BOT 13-Mar-23 12:05 AM
Having formulated an idea on how to get back home, he quickly motioned to speak to the Doctor. "A moment please Doctor?"
Avatar
Lt. JG. Syrax tr'Morvar | CMD BOT 13-Mar-23 12:07 AM
He sucked in a breath to maybe insist or offer a seat, but... the scientist probably knew better. So Sy nodded with a small smile, and continued to work the helm instead, running some scans to see if the systems were alright before attempting to launch them - they sure as hell did not need a spontaneous boom on what essentially was their only escape vessel.
Avatar
Narrator BOT 13-Mar-23 12:09 AM
Syrax's scans concluded that the ship was at full power, the warp matricies were now aligned, the impulse engines were online and navigational thrusters at full charge.
Avatar
Commander Angela Olson | MED BOT 13-Mar-23 12:15 AM
“Go ahead Lieutenant.” The Doctor inquired toward Topek, she had approached him, as he had summoned her. “Did you find something of interest?”
Avatar
Lt. JG. T’Asha | SCI BOT 13-Mar-23 12:15 AM
T’Asha sat at the science station. She looked perfectly at home even though this ship was completely alien to her. She lived for exploration and she had finally done it. This, she thought, was the greatest time of her life. She knew she’d go far in life, and she knew she had so many allies in science aboard this ship. Maybe she’d partner with one of them for a project. She had discovered she liked being with these people. Maybe she wasn’t supposed to be a lone wolf.
Avatar
Lieutenant Topek Xakarix | ENG BOT 13-Mar-23 12:18 AM
He gestured to a padd he handed the Doctor and layed out his theory. "If we take the Kon-Tiki to the exact spot Rapture found it and emit a chroniton dense deflector pulse toward the region where the wormhole fluctuated originally, it might serve as something of a emergency beacon for Rapture to find us."
Avatar
Erei'Riov Rai tr'Torre'vnau | TAC BOT 13-Mar-23 12:21 AM
Rai was on the bridge, looking around and listening to everyone speak. He was trying not to ooh and ahh at everything, but he was totally ooh-ing and ahh-ing at everything. It seemed so old yet so exciting! At this point Rai's hair was a bit of a mess and his face bare, but he seemed oddly relaxed.

Lieutenant Lama tr'Ehweia | SEC BOT 13-Mar-23 12:21 AM
Lama was at the communications station, not that he knew how to use it, but it was the only place he could think of to go. He knew a little about old Starfleet, Uhura was a legend so he was trying to channel some of her energy in case they needed some communications. "Wahhh that sounds cool, maybe we can open up a new wormhole! We got some much.. verteron particles right? We should be covered in 'em! They are kinda like soap on a water slide, we can just glide throughhhh the wormhole!"

Hopps politely observed/eavesdropped upon Angela's conversation and wondered if the Rapture had a morgue. Morbid thought, but people were probably going to die on the ship sooner or later. Maybe not a good thing to think about for someone who had second-hand memories of getting murdered, though. And of doing the murdering. It was kind of isolating that he had this knowledge of what literally dying and also killing someone was like and nobody else did... Well, as far as he knew. Was it spacist to assume some of the Romulans on Rapture might know something about murder? That Rai guy probably did. "Uuugh. Does anyone need help with anything? I'm starting to stress out over nothing all of a sudden."

Lieutenant Maya Umali | ENG BOT 13-Mar-23 12:27 AM
Maya simply stayed ready at her station, finally having her chance to enjoy learning more about the vessel whilst doing what she can to keep the ship steady. She thought about where the Kon-Tiki would end up after all of this was over, hoping it gets to stay in a good place within Starfleet so that other Engineers could experience this as well since it was so much better than anything the holodeck could generate. Maya overheard a part of what Topek proposed in regards to the chroniton pulse, looking over her station to see if something of that scale would be feasible.

Ensign Parker Lovell | CMD BOT 13-Mar-23 12:28 AM
Looking over to see his wall companion now visibly stressing out, he moved to give him space, unsure of what his species disposition in a time of crisis is like, before gingerly pointing to him, a wide, comforting smile on his face. "Somun' get this guy a hug! I feel ya though pardner! I'm about as useless as tape on a leaky dingy!"
Avatar
Lieutenant Lama tr'Ehweia | SEC BOT 13-Mar-23 12:29 AM
Lama felt an odd cold chill wash over his body for some reason, causing him to cross his arms. The frustrating thing about being only half Betazoid is he wasn't always sure who he was getting what feelings from. He felt emotions of others like one giant soup and with the whole room already a little tense with a bit of the unknown, he didn't have many hints. So Lama turned to Hopps and waved his hand. "You can stand at the comms with me!"
Avatar
Erei'Riov Rai tr'Torre'vnau | TAC BOT 13-Mar-23 12:30 AM
"Ensign, do not feel like tape. This is not like.. feeling like a a plastic bag? Drifting through the wind??" Rai looked towards Parker, thinking of the only terran reference he knew. It was a song that the officers at the Borg Reclamation site were apparently very fond of.

Lt. JG. Syrax tr'Morvar | CMD BOT 13-Mar-23 12:30 AM
With a satisfied hum, Sy looked over at all the other officers: "Seems like we're good to go! If there are no objections, I'm getting us moving..." Was it spacist? Not in the Rapture's case, probably. But Sy wasn't a telepath, so he was fully unaware of the thoughts Beau was currently having, instead giving the man a look of sympathy, after which he gave a curt nod to Lama, the helmsman's fingers already busy beeping and booping all the needed button combinations he memorized by heart: "Mm, perhaps? Sounds good to others?" (edited)

He gave a critical look to Rai and Angela, before turning to Syrax, face set in grim determination. "If Commanders tr'Torre'vnau and Olson agree, set course for 346 by 259 by 83, warp 7." He turned his attention to Amahle, sending the data to their padd. "Would you please charge the deflector in preparation for the burst?"

It seemed like there were so many solutions pooling in at once, she didn’t know which one was the best one. “I don’t object, just get us back to the 25th century-!” She turned toward Rai the other senior officer.

Lieutenant Amahle Ko | ENG BOT 13-Mar-23 12:36 AM
"Will do," Amahle responded before he let his own hands fly across the controls, after making sure he was getting the right ones, of course, this was a system he did not know very well. In the end, he attempted to charge the deflectors, since he did want to get everyone home in one piece.

Erei'Riov Rai tr'Torre'vnau | TAC BOT 13-Mar-23 12:37 AM
"I have no objection, proceed," Rai said as he made his way to the tactical station ready to stand by if they needed shields or anything like that. He wished he knew more about temporal mechanics but that was beyond his realm of expertise. The plan sounded good for what he heard. When Angela looked at him, he gave her a thumbs up and a wink, happy they were both doing this together w00t power of anime and friendship!
Avatar
Lieutenant Maya Umali | ENG BOT 13-Mar-23 12:39 AM
"Just hope this works." Maya said to herself as she attempted to help Amahle with preparing the deflectors through her station, internally praying they don't end up at some other weird timeline or get caught by an enemy of the Federation during this era.

Lieutenant Beauregard Hopps-Leap | SCI BOT 13-Mar-23 12:39 AM
Talaxians were pretty much the opposite of Romulans; their personal boundaries were very loose. Hopps had grown up with a lot of parental affection... Well, 'til the divorce. And also the death. Still probably more than some of the other people here, though. Anyway, he would've loved a hug, but standing near comms with Lama was good enough for now. "Hi again, Lama!"
Avatar
Lt. JG. Syrax tr'Morvar | CMD BOT 13-Mar-23 12:44 AM
"346-259-83 with a side dish of 7, coming right up," the helmsman nodded, finally feeling like he was truly in his element - and after reporting back the orders, Sy guided the ship out of it's zombie slumber into wakefulness, and set course to the aforementioned coordinates. Almost home!..

Lieutenant Lama tr'Ehweia | SEC BOT 13-Mar-23 12:44 AM
As soon as Hopps made his way over to Lama, he realised oh, maybe Hopps was the one stirring the emotional soup. He was far from the only one uneasy in the room, but it would be impossible to put the whole away team at ease. So Lama stood at a Vulcanoid distance away from Hopps and kept smiling, pushing away the uncertainty and worry of others. "Hi again Hopps! Love the hair today, you're very orange! If we have any cool comms things we'll be ready! Did you touch any more orbs by the way?" Lama asked, thinking making some small talk may help since they couldn't really do much to assist the others at the present time-- well, aside from providing two very pretty faces.
Avatar
Erei'Riov Rai tr'Torre'vnau | TAC BOT 13-Mar-23 12:45 AM
"Romulan kimchi is my favourite side dish-- wait," Rai said as he gripped the sides of the tactical console in hopes to keep himself steady incase they ended up doing that weird retro ship thing where for some reason everyone just slid from side to side. It was a thing on Romulan ships too, surprisingly enough,.
Avatar
Lieutenant Beauregard Hopps-Leap | SCI BOT 13-Mar-23 12:49 AM
Small talk did help, since Hopps was looking for a distraction right now. "No, just found a dead guy..." Wait. That was the thing he specifically didn't want to think about. Nope! "Did you guys find any cool stuff?"

“Should we be holding onto something?” The Doctor had inquired to the helmsmen who seemed to be living in their own universe.
Avatar
Lieutenant Lama tr'Ehweia | SEC BOT 13-Mar-23 12:54 AM
"O-Oh," Now Lama understood why the feelings in the room were so... Mixed. The thought of death along was enough to make his skin crawl. Somehow in Lama's years serving the Tal Shiar he had yet to encounter an actual dead person. Maimed people, yes, but actually dead, no. He only had one brush with death in his life and it was... More personal. Anyway, he shook his head when asked about bridge team, trying his best to keep his smile but it seemed forced. "Nah, nothing for us," Lama said with a shrug before falling silent. He covered his ears for a few seconds, as if doing so would block out the feelings around him, which it most certainly didn't. He then looked at Hopps and then at Angela. "Oh yeah, we should hold onto something, you can hold onto meeeee," Lama was honestly just trying to ease tensions, he didn't think too much about what he was saying.

Erei'Riov Rai tr'Torre'vnau | TAC BOT 13-Mar-23 12:54 AM
"I would recommend it," Rai replied with a nod. "I do not know how well these ships handle space turbulence but seeing how I am well over two metres tall and Romulan I am most certainly going to hold onto something," Because Rai knew if he went flying and hit someone that would do some damage. The clap of his ass cheeks already startled one person, he didn't need to do any more damage.

Hopps knew a forced smile when he saw one, but he didn't know the cause. It didn't help his anxiety any. Maybe Lama only offered to be polite and didn't actually like him at all? Wait, who was he offering to hold? Him or Angela? Right in front of everyone's salad? And why was he covering his ears?

"Woooo it's gonna get bumpy!" Lama put one hand on the console and offered another to Hopps. Yes, right in front of everyone's salad, but for some reason Lama felt like he could really use a hug right now, weird because he rarely felt like that he was Romulan. "Hold onto something or this bridge will turned into a giant tossed alien salad!"

Lieutenant Topek Xakarix | ENG BOT 13-Mar-23 01:10 AM
He flashed Maya a reassuring smile, before starting to input the data for the deflector pulse. "I tend to agree, this ship is in remarkably good condition, and will absolutely be able to take whatever we throw at it."

He was offering a hand? To hold? Wasn't that a really big deal for Vulcanoids? But how else was he supposed to interpret this? He took Lama's hand and held it, putting his other on the console, wondering if this was public indecency on Vulcan. This did help his anxiety, in that it replaced it with a different kind of anxiety that was... Good? And mostly in his stomach. "Let's a-go!" Late march tenth reference.

Lama's Romulan instincts were telling him this would be a great opportunity for Hopps to just take out a knife and murder him, but his Betazoid empathy reassured him that such an intention was completely void from the scientist's emotional soup. So he held onto Hopps' hand, just two bros holding hands, look away Vulcanoids.

She nodded and returned the thumbs up to Topek "Weapons armed and ready as well... just in case" She added in, a combination of slight paranoia from things being... to much of the 'q-word', around the Kon-Tiki for too long and experience from her previous postings told her it would be a good measure to keep weapons charged.

At Rai's command, Topek initiated the chroniton deflector pulse, the ship shuddering harshly as a stream of bright blue-green light streaked away from the ship toward the shimmering area of space directly in front of the ship. "Chroniton pulse at 75% strength...85%...96%...100%!" Once the pulse reached its full intensity, the space in front of the ship glowed a blue-green, rippling like waves on a pond.

Avatar
Lieutenant Topek Xakarix | ENG BOT 13-Mar-23 01:53 AM
"The wormhole is...stable?" *Topek said with visible confusion, not sure if he really believed what his eyes and the sensors were telling him. This was totally unlike anything he had ever seen, he was so caught up in the moment that he didn't even realize the significance of the moment...they were sitting on a ship that was over 250 years old observing a stable wormhole through time.

He made a mental note to ask the communications officer or whoever was in charge of the UT to consult with the ensign to develop a better interpretation for his language. It was worse than Tamarian at times.

The helmsman absolutely gunned it, sending the ship hurtling through the wormhole at full impulse. In one moment they were in the 22nd century and the next they were in the 25th, with the hulking visage of the Rapture looming ever closer as they neared the ship. When they closed to within 2 kilometers, the helmsman slowed the ship to a full stop and waited for someone in charge to send a hail.
