To the top of the ballroom floor sat the bandstand where a live orchestra played under the lights that highlighted their performance. Relaxing, slow-tempo, mostly major key music made to fit the winter season was being played on instruments of varying property and culture. It was fascinating how the winter theme of different worlds could gel together so peacefully in the form of music.
