Dreaxa's comments had been more of a sudden flurry than anything else and it was almost difficult to keep up, offering a quick "oh, this old thing?" at the mention of her outfit before she tried to catch up with the rest of what the doctor was saying. She couldn't do much other than stand there with both eyebrows raised as she waited for the other woman to take a breath. At the mention of 'come on' there wasn't a hint of hesitance when it came to complying, easily falling into step alongside the doctor once she had turned to head back into the events hall as opposed to leaving it.
"I'm truly sorry that I didn't manage to show up until now. Well, I had been here from the start, but in typical fashion everything seemed to happen at once. We had a clear risk assessment but for some reason one of the chandeliers we were using then flagged up so we had to take it down. I then had to console the crewman who had put the chandelier up. The Klingons called to discuss their involvement in PACT and asked for me directly, one of the operational officers took unwell so I ended up volunteering to cover the end of their shift -- they're already running a skeleton crew up there, it wouldn't have been fair to leave them alone... I know that'll seem like a group of rather poor excuses," she commented, glancing upwards to Vialara by her side, "but unfortunately, it's just what happens here. I truly am sorry, though. I hope it doesn't seem like I wasn't interested."
