He nodded when Marze said he helped her create a profile, though when Xal made a comment towards the CTO as well, but he nodded in agreement regardless, a little 'mhm' as well thrown in. And when Vara'l finally spoke, that was... the intended reaction he expected from Vara'l, in all honesty, if their previous interactions were anything to go off of. "Mm, well, I could give you a bit more accurate of a... 'personal assessment', if you'd like," he laughed a little, "your metalwork's amazing. Take it from an engineer, okay?"
When Marze gave him her comment, he was glad he didn't have a drink in hand, or he may have spilled it. "I-" he laughed some more, shaking his head, and was about to say something else when Xal reached up and - held Vara'l's tie. So here Allan was, with one hand on Vara'l's arm and the other in his hair, and Xal's hand on Allan's shoulder and their other hand on Vara'l's tie... Vara'l's reaction made more than enough sense. "Marze, it's- okay," he breathed out, trying to diffuse... whatever she may have been upset about, but a little too distracted by the CTO's next words, and he brought his hand down from his hair to rest at his collar, a little too close to Xal's hand, maybe. "Okay," he said to Vara'l then, "but the question is, do you love this?"
