The caboose of the group was Melody, carrying her portable keyboard and some spare XLR and instrument cables as she approached the center of the stage. She hadn't really carried too many instruments around with her, but she surmised this would not be the last time she did so. Still, Melody was eager to play, so that distracted her from fixating too much on the weight of the keyboard, which she didn't mind. "Yeah, I'm good! I got it, one sec... There we go," she said as she set the keyboard onto the stand. "Already ahead of you," Melody replied, and hooked an XLR cable from her keyboard into the sound system. A monitor at the side of the stage let her test the audio levels without sending the sound into the performing arts hall. "We have the keyboard dialed in!"
