The game area hosts a variety of party games, including cornhole, ring toss, and lawn bowls. No prizes included— just play for fun!

Ev'kor made his way to the game area, where there were... mostly games he was unfamiliar with. To be honest, he didn't remember the last time he was at a carnival or a party like this, so perhaps it wasn't too strange that he knew none of them, but still. He made his way to the cornhole setup, which looked straightforward enough that he'd be able to figure it out, and tried to find someone to teach him, or perhaps figure it out together.

There were the sounds of approaching footsteps, and bits and pieces of a discussion - Syrax soon popped into view, arm flung comfortably around Saren's shoulders, leading his cousin along to the game area: "--besides, parties are all about socializing anyways," he mused, earning an inaudible reply from his companion that made the taller of the two chuckle. "Why of course you are! The most well known socialite of the station! That's... that's what "socialite" means, right?.." Briefly he looked around the area, finally spotting another person - prompting the helmsman to grin and wave his free hand, "Speaking of socializing, hello!"

The scientist, who's suggestion of walking around the tree area was promptly denied in favor of going and messing around with (mostly) Earth games, half-heartedly poked his cousin in his side: "I think "social butterfly" fits what you wanted to say better. Socialite is a rich high class person who goes to a lot of parties. But now that you said it, that word does sound like something used to describe a very social person... standard is a weird language." He turned his head in the direction Syrax was waving, gaze landing on Ev'kor. Instead of an enthusiastic wave, the more aloof of the two gave the unfamiliar man a nod, "Jolan tru."

Ev'kor was shocked out of his attempt to figure out the little game by the arrival of two other people. He waved back to the tall one who seemed to be around his own height. "Jolan tru," he responded, before his eyes passed over the shorter one- he refrained from taking a step back, but it was a conscious decision. The face was different, smaller, too young... And as quickly as the thought had come, he banished it. "Either of you care for a game? I think we have to throw these," he said, holding up the bean bag with the hand he hadn't used to wave, his hand trembling slightly as he presented it for the two young men to see.

The slight hiccup wasn't noticed by the young Romulan, keeping him blissfully unaware of the history between this stranger and his grey-eyed grandparent. At least, for now. In the meantime, Saren kept his distance, away enough to feel comfortable, close enough to be engaged and polite. "It does look pretty straightforward," he agreed, green eyes flitting between the bag held in Ev'kor's hand and the inclined board. "Any thoughts, Sy? You know about Earth stuff more than I do..."

"Yeah, I've seen this played in movies!" came an enthusiastic reply from the man who was squatting down besides the board, "You get one point for landing the bag on the board, or three by having it go through the hole. Wanna do the point counting right away, or should we have a warm-up round?" He soon stood up, and threw one of the bags at Saren, who caught it, causing the taller Romulan to grin, "Oh, and name's Syrax by the way! One of station's helmsmen."

"We can count points, I suspect it won't matter much." A disruptor or a phaser was an easy tool to use, there was hardly a simpler weapon imaginable. But aside from aiming those, his hand-eye coordination generally didn't allow for great shots... there was a reason he didn't become a surgeon, or a professional basketballer. "Nice to meet you, Syrax. I'm Ev'kor. Prepare for a showing of great disappointment," he joked, taking a jab at his own abilities.
