══════ Garden Tea Party ══════ / orchard-entrance
Avatar
Melody Marshall | CIV BOT 13-Sep-24 04:24 PM
The singing baker needed a chance to take things slowly for once, so she felt this garden tea party could help her chill out. Alyssa couldn't make it, as she had an imminent duty shift with an important assignment due. But that didn't mean Alyssa didn't help Melody out in this, and it was immediately apparent that Alyssa helped out by the way Melody was dressed. If you took a look at Melody, you wouldn't even know it was her unless you got close up and noticed her facial features. Melody was adorned in a beautiful, pink puffy princess dress. A rhinestone-festooned corset featured a scooped neckline. A dazzling overskirt accented a puffy ballgown, as well as the darker pink puff sleeves. Pristine white princess gloves. She wore open-toed heels that looked more like they belonged to Cinderella than a singing baker. A pearl (or at least, what looked like pearl) necklace centered her neck, and on the very top was a beautiful diamond tiara. Melody's makeup -- which, she rarely wore heavy makeup - featured contrasting eyeshadow and black eyeliner, as well as deep satin red lipstick. Melody strode regally into the orchard entrance, but didn't really over-exaggerate it. This, in fact, was an exercise in self-control - on any other day she'd dive into the grass and make grass angels. Today, she wanted to keep herself a bit more composed. So, expecting it to be a more relaxed day, Melody conducted herself as such, wearing the outfit Alyssa helped her to choose. Sure, this was fantasy-themed, although it wasn't a full on ball like the Winter ball - but Melody wanted to practice self-control a little more. So, keeping somewhat of a smile on her face, she headed towards the #buffet-tables.

Lt. JG. Four of Ten | TAC BOT 13-Sep-24 04:34 PM
Four wasn't one to be late, so as they entered into the orchard they were practically precisely on time. They stepped foot into the orchard two seconds before the actual time listed as to make sure they were punctual. Their golden eyes scanning their surroundings as they took in the fantasy surroundings. Four also had dressed up for the occasion. Wearing a sort of monk style suit. With multiple weaving layers and hand wraps that went from their forearms to their hands. The chest area of the having multiple lines of interwoven fabric. As well as a leather worked belt that held everything together, and dangling down from the cross pattern was a set of tassels. Their ensemble finally finishing in embroidered pants and boots. The traditional Khellian symbol emblazoned on the enter of the chest piece as they fully stepped into the room. Their posture was straight and strict. Their shoulders held back, their chin up, and their hair kept in it's usual swoop, however with some beads laced into the hair. An alternating pattern of green and gold. Four noticed another woman enter before them. Their eyes tilted. They had never seen them before. Four was told that they should get out in passing from various others throughout their life. They didn't truly understand what they meant due to them leaving their room quite regularly and consistently. Until of course they looked up the colloquial definition after being intrigued by the garden party. They then decided it would best inline with protocol to attend such a gathering. As not being able to work with their fellow officers would be very poor for efficiency's sake. Four though saw them walk towards the buffet tables. They were not hungry, and had just been through a regeneration cycle. So, they stood in the middle of the orchard's entrance and waited for any other life signs to come within their line of view.

Let it be known that Neya would never waste an opportunity to get dressed up. She'd been taught well by Charity and the others, and while she had yet to develop a true sense of fashion, she'd learned some rules, and she knew what she absolutely hated. So today, she was dressed in a blush pink dress, puffy off the shoulder sleeves to accentuate her favourite feature, and a wide tulle skirt that bounced as she walked. The bodice was accentuated with pale green and white flowers embroidered into it. So with full confidence, she walked into the orchard, intent on maybe trying some teas, and then maybe politely destroying some people at cornhole, or something... she'd see how the afternoon was going to go.

Ekhesai, too, would never miss an opportunity to dress up! She didn't favor flouncy dresses and puffy skirts, however, and opted instead for a light blue suit within pastel pink accents and a matching bowtie, intricate floral designs climbing her legs and the sides of her jacket. She had a matching top hat and masquerade mask, the latter white with blue and pink swirls, a similarly patterned pair of fairy wings attached to her jacket. She was practically skipping with excitement.

With swift, smooth steps, Vara'l strided on into the garden tea party. Clad in fancier wear than he usually suffered himself to tolerate, a warm blue suit paired with black trousers and slightly greyed leather boots.. The only concession to decoration on the suit being a carefully worked array of vines and branches that seemed to explore his left shoulder and surrounded a symbol of House Hara. One adjusted to indicate he was the guardian of a member of the House of Cora. He potentially struck quite the figure as he walked in. That is if one happened to think he looked good in such a suit which he remained on the fence on and hadn't detected the 'I don't like looking fancy' energy that practically oozed from his every pore. The ACTO quiet as he walked into the orchard and inclined his head in polite greeting to the female Jem'Hadar member of tactical in the moment before he resumed a quiet walk toward the buffet tables.

normally she was no one for parties but this would be the perfect time for her to make friends. She wore a pale blue dress with a matching blue mask which looked like a butterfly, she had a few flowers entwined in her braided hair as well as wearing blue high heels and she looked around to see what was going on in this garden party

Allow Sykes to be the first to tell you that of the things she had expected to see occur during her time posted on this base, a tea party was not one of them. Though, she wasn’t going to complain about it. This is much better than just sitting around in her room, or sitting around in the intelligence hub. The CYSEC agent wore a yellow striped skirt with a matching waistcoat overtop a white blouse. She fussed with the ribbon tie threaded through her collar for a moment upon entering, wanting it to look proper…well, as proper as the woman was capable of being, at least. She enjoyed getting to dress up, but rest assured, ‘fantasy formal’ was a bit outside her wheelhouse. Nevertheless, looking like a character from The Wind in the Willows, Sykes set off to find some food. Stumbling across some conversation along the way would be a pleasant addition.

Terahl had been SWAMPED these past few weeks or so. He needed a break. What better break than to dress up all fancy for a tea party? Sure, it wasn't really his vibe, but it wouldn't hurt, right? Stepping outside of his comfort zone was his favorite past time. The journalist was dressed in a tight black dress with slits up the sides revealing red fabric, sleeveless with turtleneck shaped sort of collar. (Not sure what it's called, sorry.) The dress itself was quite simple, but the extravagance was in the cape over his shoulders— black and white, shaped and colored specifically to mimic the wings of a Ceylon Rose butterfly. He had a large sun hat with red on the inside as well, signature sunglasses hiding the fancy eyeliner he'd spent nearly half an hour on as he surveyed the party. What a cute little social event to put on. (edited)

As Mirrim approached the small gathering of people that had already formed she had to stop herself from gushing over how adorable she thought the theme was again. She herself was wearing a pirate shirt and a sleeveless dark brown dress with a square neckline over it. The skirt of the dress was wide and flew nicely when she twirled and the bodice was covered in embroidery of green, yellow and orange flowers and leaves. She had a triangle scarf in the same colours, made by herself, tied around her waist and was wearing a large brown tricorn that had similar detailing to her dress around the edges. Her hair was open, except for two strands behind her ears that she had braided and she had even switched her usual black eyepatch for a brown one. She had a spring in her step and was deliberately putting on a demeanour that she usually avoided as Mirrim, it was the confidence and determination that Gajina had used when she met with important or difficult business partners. Head held high she walked over to pick up some food before looking around trying to decide where to go.

As the more social one, Syrax took it upon himself to drag his cousin out for the variety of social events this starbase provided from time to time. Saren, in return, took it upon himself to arrange and pick out outfits for the thematic tea party - ones that, inevitably, turned out to be matching ones. The dragon theme made itself pretty clear, with his mullet styled so that the strands of hair appeared to look like spikes, and his suit being of gorgeous crimson-near black gradient, with scale-like patterning running over his coat's lapels, spine, shoulders and sleeves, as well as pant legs. Those were made of tiny, close-sown metallic pieces, intercepted by an occasional tiny spike for flavor. The stark white of his collar was made of even more scale maille. The black leather gloves and heeled boots finished off the look.

Where there was a dragon, there was also a knight. Instead of a suit coat, Saren was wearing a rather fancy looking, long doublet gambeson, his House's emblem embroidered into the dark green, near black material in silver and gold on both sides of his chest, the two hounds heraldic and open-mawed, hot tongues sticking out like little flames and long tails curling like snakes. He matched his cousin in heel department, with his leather shoes being knee-high, the feel of them reminding of those traditional ones he wore sometimes - it being light and comfortable. The belts and gold accessories were there to finish it all off - the latter sometimes emitting a jingle when he moved. "There's an orchard," he informed Syrax, because of course he did notice the trees first. "Or we can get food right away, while there aren't too many people..."

Sure strides conveyed the Liberated Borg El-Aurian doctor, currently clad in a Purple dress decorated with gold embroidered El-Aurian text with her hair under a El-Aurian style hat into Orchard. Silent at first as she moved, Twelve paused for a moment upon seeing two other people present. Paused there before she then inclined her head in greeting to the duo. Did so and then moved to go further inside as she said. "Jolan Tru." In passing greeting as she headed inside. They wanted to explore a bit before they ate, currently her body had well..informed them they weren't yet very hungry. They had a slight appetite but in Twelves mind that wasn't something that yet merited any move to deal with that with a nutritional supplement and they'd also regenerated recently as well. As they started off into the place, they paused briefly within the entrance and considered where to go, considered it for a moment before they headed off to the picnic area. (edited)

Rilek appeared at the entrance wearing a long white dress with a repeating strawberry pattern! She wore her long finger guards on both hands for the event and had braided the longer side of their fringe, tying it off with a white bow. The skirt of the dress was ruffly, just like the long sleeves. It was an A-line style which suited most body types. Rilek always struggled with finding styles that suited their body type since a lot of the popular styles for women's clothes seemed to accentuate things that Rilek did not have or did not wish to show off. Rilek had fairly small hips, but broad shoulders and large arms. It made them a little self conscious, but it was the 25th century and everything could be replicated to one's body. They also wore flat sandals because Rilek had more than enough height.

3rd Maran'agar | TAC BOT 14-Sep-24 03:59 AM
Four whole days. That was how long it took for Maran'agar and his colleagues to drag the former round the best tailors and boutiques around the starbase to get him fitted. "You gotta go, man, it'll be awesome! Maybe you'll pick up a fairy queen or something!" Funny how people just love to make that an excuse to go to stuff, huh? All those hours of fussing, trying on shirt after vest after pair of trousers after blazer on repeat later, though, even Maran had to agree that he looked... good. The long, black and gray jacket his colleagues had picked out for him was buttoned at the stomach and fitted him perfectly, as did the silver-trimmed black vest, black undershirt and red and maroon striped tie he wore underneath. Black trousers were tapered perfectly to his legs and, accompanied by the shiny black (holy shit, did humans actually bother shining these on the daily?) boots, made him look somewhat taller. Go figure, right? The sole complaint he could've had was that petty officer Grange had done up his tie a little too tight - he'd suffocate partway through the party and fall flat on the floor with that on, he was sure. That, and the entire outfit was hot. If anyone wanted a tasting of slow-roasted Jem'hadar meat, they were probably going to get it. Standing at the entrance to the orchard, Maran pulled at the offensively tight tie around his neck before making his way inward. His boots squeaked. Why were they squeaking? Ugh. Regardless, he was supposed to be here to have a good time, and so he would try.

Lhi was here! He heard costumes were encouraged so he was here dressed as-- a lily of the valley! He had weaved green ribbon with his cable to make it look like a stem and had the lillies in his hair to form a little crown. He had a long sleeved green chiffon top with brown culottes and of course a pair of comfy crocs. Lhi had large flower-like collar around his neck, very pretty!

Well, he wasn't one to do too many social things if it didn't suit his 'vibe,' but Snake figured it was good to see new people if he could so he didn't feel quite as lonely. It was a chance for him to enjoy the station a little more than he was. Nowadays he mostly kept to himself. Certainly he felt a little embarrassed about becoming a meme repository, but he couldn't really control that during the parasite fiasco, so. He figured, eh, why the hell not? And so, Snake strolled in and made his way to #the-orchard.

er. Arn. Ev'kor tr'Khellian | MED BOT 15-Sep-24 04:08 PM
Fashionably late, as per usual, Ev'kor sauntered into the orchard, elegant black robes flowing around him, his head crowned with a wealth of black hair flowing down past his shoulders, as well as a thin silver band situated over his forehead. He fit the part of a dark elven prince, if he did say so himself. He'd taken a leaf from his father's book for this one, as he himself usually preferred less elaborate outfits, but this was a fantasy party and he should dress the part. Intent on meeting some new people, he walked through the orchard, though it seemed people were a little grouped up right now, and he wasn't exactly keen on interrupting ongoing conversations, but the games were pretty quiet... perhaps he could invite some people over there by simply being gorgeous and alone... it worked for him in bars, why not garden parties?

Lt. Allan Allen | ENG BOT 16-Sep-24 11:09 PM
Allan walked into the entrance, glad to be attending a little outdoors party - if he was being honest with himself, they were always his favorite - from beach parties to cookouts to little garden parties like these. He was wearing a black tunic with red embroidery in a vine-like pattern down the shoulders from its high collar. The waist of the tunic was cinched with a wide, deep crimson sash tied in a knot to its side, the deep hue matching a near floor-length, crimson cape that hung from his shoulders. On his head was a simple silver crown, yet if one looked a little closely, they could occasionally see tiny, black metallic birds that would flit from one spike of the crown to another - sometimes two or more of them would come to rest together on a singular perch, as though they were sharing quiet secrets. A simple use (not quite so simple - he'd spent a lot of time putting the robotics together last-minute the night before) of engineering, really. And below that were two earrings - one of a rose with ruby petals and a silver stem - and the other of a sunflower with gold petals and a jade center.

He was dressed like he was attending a ren faire - in a long white tunic, or perhaps thin robe, over some trousers tucked into brown riding boots. All (that was cloth, the boots were leather) was made of some luxurious material, perhaps a more comfortable version of silk, with a jade sash over it, and a jade cape over that, and an assortment of verdant jade jewelry to match! Earrings that looked like sunflowers, with gold petals and a jade centre - except one of his earrings was missing, replaced with ones that looked like roses instead. Lastly, atop his crown (above his fishtail braid) he wore a flower crown! He'd made some for Allan, Mo, and even Bandit, too! Not to mention everyone else who might want one. They were all on a donut holder, as though he were a bagel merchant selling his wares.

It was rare that he attended parties; he always felt like he'd ruin the atmosphere. People might go 'the Captain? Here?' And draw unearned attention to him, a bonafide Some Guy of exceptionally average calibre. Even now he only intended to stop by, and only because a garden party sounded preferable to most other kinds of parties. His eating disorder meant he could be fussy about large portions, and garden parties were famous for serving finger food. Bandit was here, too, on a leash and in his arms. He was wearing an old-timey (sort of victorian) but otherwise unremarkable three-piece suit, black and white, but with the chains of a silver pocket watch hanging out from a front pocket.

Lt. Zaru Teno | SCI BOT 17-Sep-24 05:05 AM
Teno was a very excitable man. And he was genuinely very excited about the Garden Tea Party on 777! Even though he had helped pick out the flowers and helped to set up, he was still completely enchanted by the Orchard and its decorations. When one of the officers planning the event had asked him to help pick out the flowers to curate the atmosphere and had told him stories about their inspiration - including fairy tales - Teno had jumped at the chance to find plants to express the theme. And Teno took a theme seriously. He'd asked a thousand questions of the officer, then followed up with research into different artistic renderings of fairies and princes, and then worked tirelessly to make a costume for the event with his replicator skills and drawing skills combined. He wore a green, sequined tunic with gold trimming on all of the hems and gold buttons. The sleeves were capped with the sequinned fabric and then had long sleeves that were sheer and had floral patterns stitched into them. The end of the sleeves covered his wrists and hands in the sequined fabric. With the tunic he paired dark brown replicated leather pants that were form fitting but modest. He also had boots that had long, long laces and went up to his knees. And finally, he had created some fairy wings out of a sheer but reflective fabric that glittered irridescently in the light. There were four wings and they wer positioned on the middle of his back and went out about a foot past his shoulders on either side. They were very large! So Teno walked in, his wings bouncing with every step, and he headed toward the buffet tables to grab some of the finger foods! He loved trying new things.
