The buffet tables were here! With food, of course! From all over the galaxy, but mostly bajoran rice and bajoran tea. Guests were invited to take what they wanted and find a table. Make sure to save one or two seats for friendly ghosts!!

At the buffet tables were a couple of friendly spirits enjoying some SPIRITS! SPIRITS ENJOYING SPIRITS! One of them was a familiar face, although you wouldn't be able to tell as he was wearing a cloak....

Here, a ghost, sipping some spirits trying to keep a low profile after knocking over a whole row of glasses on the table behind him.

Silver had been taking a break, sipping some tea (still carrying her vacuum, of course, its weight meant nothing to her). She’d put her mug down for a moment and turned away, only to hear a large crash, turning around to see her mug and many glasses on the floor, and a very conspicuous ghost who Silver thought looked guilty of the nuisance. She hefted her vacuum, and it was ghostly-looking android vs actual ghost. “Well that was rude!” She called to Valak, approaching with her vacuum.

Valak turned to the living person and shrugged. "I keep getting TERRORISED by people here, fuck you," And then shook his egg head at her, clearly not afraid.

“Fuck you!” She said, the curse slipping out of her even though she usually chose not to curse in her daily life. “Sorry, that was impolite!” She said, but obviously she was only concerned about the curse as she was also charging at full speed with her vacuum, turning it on. 🎲3

"HAHA," Valak laughed. "Bitch." He added, sticking out his tongue.

“Nobody in this life or the next will ever respect you!” She called again, going in for another attempt. 🎲3

"Do you even know how to work that thing?" Valak asked, pointing to the stupidly large ghost hoover and then laughed again.

“I think being dead is the real skill issue here!” She said, hitting the vacuum for a bit of on-the-spot percussive maintenance and trying again. 🎲2

"I would have been alive if my sister wasn't a coward!" Valak said, somewhere in the distance, Rilek was there and muttered 'no' under her breath.

“You needed your sister to save you? Talk about a lack of self-sufficiency!” Which, for Silver, was a grave insult, considering Silver’s predecessor, SILV2-E (Simulated Intelligent Lifeform Version 2- Explorer) was scrapped for its complete lack of self-sufficiency. She laughed before turning on her vacuum again. 🎲4

Silver turned, with a very pleasant and cute smile, like that whole affair hadn’t affected her one bit. “The percussive maintenance just needed a moment to kick in!” She said in a very chipper tone, before heading off to find more ghosts.

A few other ghosts surrounded Silver, they were nice ghosts, they all clapped for her in a weird sorta way. Just gathering around and clapping. There were two very suspicious looking ghosts though, a Aoyin -human-eating monster with a long tongue and sharp teeth, and a verrrry long worm -- A MONGOLIAN DEATH WORM!

Silver smiled to the friendly ghosts, wondering if there was a face she knew in the crowds. It wasn’t impossible.. she knew thirty people who were now dead just from the Cryo-IV outpost, and a few more members of her development team who had died either while she was gone or in the most recent few years. It wasn’t out of the question. But, as she was scanning the crowd, her eyes caught a worm. A VERY long worm. A worm that looked like it belonged inside of her bigass vacuum. So, she hefted it again in order to charge at it, switching her vacuum on to try and get the Mongolian death worm! 🎲2

The worm slitered RIGHT BETWEEN Silver's legs, it was a lil slimey too but it was a ghost so it was ghost slime.

She shuddered a bit, jumping back and turning as she watched it scurry away. “Eugh!” She exclaimed, but she didn’t let her disgust get in the way of switching on her vacuum again for a second go at the death worm! 🎲2

Annnnd it slithered away. The Aoyin slowly drew closer to Silver with its mouth open and its long tongue hanging out trying to ... eat her?

“Oh, I’m sorry, I don’t taste good!” She said, jumping back and switching on her vacuum. She wasn’t lying, too, she was made of metal and plastic, none of which tasted good. 🎲4

And the Aoyin was SUCKED! Leaving the worm who was... slithering around the tables now, touching everyone with the GHOST WORM TOUCH.

Silver, still not forgetting the feeling of the ghost worm slime, decided that she would not want anyone else to have to deal with it. So, she went over to the tables- kneeling down, angling her vacuum just so, and going in for the Suck. 🎲5

K’tehka | CIV BOT 08-Sep-25 04:36 AM
K'tehka approached the buffet tables with as much caution as he showed the rest of his endeavours - with none at all! He walked up quickly, his boots thudding on the ground with each step, grasped the back of a chair with his big hand, and pulled it out so he could fall happily into it. He reached for the food people were allowed to take, and piled his plate, mostly with meats and savory things. Then, he stuck one of his hands into an inner vest pocket on his breast, and pulled out a takeout container from the best Klingon restaurant on the station. He opened it and dumped a squiggly wiggly wormy pile of the freshest gagh onto a plate next to him and waited for Renko to (hopefully) appear.

In the empty seat beside him appeared the ghostly figure of -- Renko! He was a serious looking Klingon but he immediately went to grab at the food on the table. Although the food stayed on the table, it shook a little to signify the ghost was 'eating' it.

K'tehka let out a gasp, something he rarely did. "Renko! Your appetite never ceases to amaze me. Do not worry, I brought more." He reached in his other breast pocket and brought out a takeout container, this one shaped more like a cup! He took off the lid and revealed some pungent bloodwine. "How is Sto'vo'kor, Renko?"

"They don't give us food in sto'vo'kor! Well, not like this!" The Klingon's smile brightened when he saw the bloodwine. "Wow you really just had that thang on you?" He picked up the container and began to drink the wine, but for some odd reason it wasn't poring out. He was clearly 'drinking it'. "Mmm... that's the spiritual part of the food and drink done, you can eat the physical part," He offered the still-full container to K'tehka. "It's nice, honestly. We are all honoured. There's sparring and games, it's surprisingly chill for being a Klingon afterlife!"

"You know me, Renko. I always do. Besides," He said with a deep, rumbling chuckle, "- I was told that food offerings were good for summoning people. I took that to heart. I am glad I could provide you with food and drink you do not normally receive." He smiled a big toothy grin and grabbed some of the wormies off of his husband's plate and dangled them above his open mouth, dropping them in and chomping away. "Thank you. I.. I do not know why I was called to talk to you, Renko. I do not know what posessed me to come here. But I am glad we are both here. It has been a long time since we shared a meal."

"Thank you! I don't know why, but they only let us out for a month to eat. That's crazy! Only a month to eat," The Klingon shook his head and sighed. "I am glad to be here sharing a meal with you," He laughed a lowly belly laugh when K'Tehka ate the worms from his plate. He was happy they could eat together. "So... where is here exactly?"

“A month? In Sto’vo’kor?! Wait but you eat for an entire month?” He was also incredulous. Thankfully he had brought his husband even more treats, which he pulled from his other pockets. There was an assortment of foods from other cultures too - Osol twists and Hlai, a slice of pecan pie and some ice cream, and a fried Andorian fish. “Oh, here. We are on a Federation Starbase called 777. It is a hub similar to others where people of all kinds come to live and also to stop on their travels throughout the system. We are in the Hromi Cluster. And as you can see, I am much older than when we last spoke. I have settled here in my old age.”

"Thank you for the treats," The man said as he quickly 'took' the food and ate it. Once he had 'eaten' the food, he gave it back to K'Tehka so he could actually eat it. Ghosts couldn't digest physical food anyway. "Ah... Hromi Cluster," Renko nodded slowly and then looked at K'tehka again. "Older yes, but just as handsome as I remember. And just as kind."
