Let's go do something! Along the river was a pier, and along that pier two kayaks were prepared, ready to be used! Valuables in the watertight container, please, and then off you go, taking in the environment from an entirely new perspective. This should be the perfect first date for Pel and Kiadras.

Kiadras was nothing if not an active guy/gal, and so something like a fancy dinner date wasn’t exactly her first choice when it came to meeting up with someone and having a nice date. Second choice? Sure! She liked the classics, of course, but she wanted to get up and move! He was already in the process of getting his kayak ready, packing up valuables and testing the weight of his paddle, excited to meet a new face and to explore the river, having yet to do so!

Pel hoped she was not as sweaty and nervous looking as she felt. When arrived at the river her date was already there, checking out the kayaks and… wow. Tall, muscular, both masculine and feminine - Pel felt gender envy admiration. She looked amazing! Pel glanced down at herself, pushing her insecurities deep down in her chest. She was not going to come off as anything but confident - no matter if she’d never done this before. There was a first for everything, right? Besides - she was too old to act like a stuttering teenager. She smiled, walking up next to him and preparing her own kayak. “Hello, it’s Kiadras, right? I’m Pel. Nice to meet you.” She reached out to shake her hand. She hadn’t meant to go full professionalism mode, but it was polite, right? Oh, sweet Exchequer, this was gonna be an experience. (edited)

She quickly perked up from where she was crouched down and hopped up to her feet when Pel arrived, a bright grin on her face, “Pel! Wonderful to meet you too,” She took her hand and shoot heartily, resting the paddle of her kayak against her shoulder with her free hand. Indeed, Kiadras was quite the sight. He was wearing a tank top which very nicely showed off his toned arms, and a scar or two down his biceps. Though he looked like he’d gotten into his fair share of scrapes and lived to tell the tale, he certainly didn’t act like the type of guy you’d be scared to bump into in an alleyway. Upon taking his hand back, he held out Pel’s oar to her, “Kiadras, that’s me. Have you ever been kayaking?”

Kiadra’s hand felt foreign against her slightly scaled fingers, far warmer in body temperature than herself. She liked the warmth. Pel took the oar, smiling, sharp teeth peeking from under her lip. Maybe this wouldn’t be so stressful? She seemed nice. And totally jacked. She could appreciate someone who also cared about their physique the way she did. “I haven’t been kayaking, exactly, but there are similar activities on Ferenginar. Leave it to them to find ways to profit off of torrential rain. This looks easier.” She rested her boot on the edge of the kayak, testing the weight. “You wanna just get right to it?”

Kiadras was never one to make things feel stressful. She was a teacher first and foremost, after all! If she could do anything to help another person feel right as rain, rest assured she would, “One of my hosts, Wedri, had gone kayaking during her time at the Academy,” She peeked out over the river and hummed, reminiscing on that memory, “So, I’ve got some idea of what all we’re doing! If you’d like, I can help you out. Easy as riding a bike! Albeit, with your hands instead of your feet.” He followed Pel’s lead and clambered into his kayak, “Let’s get a move on!” He smiled brightly.

Pel and Kiadras paddled down the river alongside one another, making conversation as they got some exercise in.
